T.J. Watt and Clay Matthews had eerily similar workout results

Although Watt and Matthews both came from Football families...Clay was not a good or anywhere close to being a recruited player. I remember him in L.A., and he was so skinny and overwhelmed. Yes he did go to USC, but as a Student..not a player. It was a year later that he made it as a walk on, and even then this was after he went from like 168lbs to 205lbs. Yes he hit the weights hard...and probably some good Chemicals as well ( LOL )..and became a much better player, although he never had a dominating Sack season ever. What made him a 1st round pick was his quickness and speed. He was vastly faster then TJ Watt was, and if I remember...Matthews 10 second sprint was like amazing.

So not to poo-poo your comparison. But in actuality..they're as far apart as they get.

i'm not disagreeing with the drive, work ethic and the future looking bright. however, there have been lots of people with measurables that haven't panned out (Dri Archer and DHB - who is "ok", but, not worthy of the 1st round draft position he was selected in). the combine - should be used to CONFIRM what you saw on tape, but, i don't put a lot of stock in it otherwise.

And "confirm what we saw on tape" is what the combine did

I'll take me some of that Kevin Greene any day of the week and twice on Sunday. IMO still the best OLB pass rusher we every had. Wish we had him for his entire career. We can only hope TJ can be close to what Greene was.

Let me say this...when Wisconsin played the Buckeyes TJ was a one man wrecking crew. The guy can play and he can play against NFL level talent. I have no doubts about his ability.

James Harrison runs a 5.25 second 40 yard dash. So if the underwear Olympics mean squat, Watt should be at least a 6 time DMVP if not more.

Although, can that number be right for Deebo? That would make him slower than our entire DLine. I've actually talked myself into doubting that number.
