    who's #2 rant/thoughts

Hell of a draft so far! Trades galor!

There are alot of players still available. At some point some of these players where mocked in the first round, and some to us.

    ILB:Cunnigham
    S: OBI, Budda
CB: Wilson, Tabor, Awuzie, Moreau, sydney Jones, K.King
    RB: Cook, Kamara, Nixon
WR: zay Jones, (kiper, got to laugh at that)
    QB: Kizer
    OL: Robison, Lamp
    OLB: Bowser, Rivers, jordon Willis,

Do we double dip at OLB, and have Watt move inside like we did with Timmons?

Now this is who I want:
    1) Awuzie
    2) Cook
    3) Cunningham

I wonder if we trade up to grab one of these players

Moreau or Josh Jones if we stay put. Awuzie or King if we make a big move up. Getting the edge rusher early really opens this drafts strengths up for us.

I don't get the move TJ inside argument. I see much of it. His measureables are right where the Steelers like OLBs, and the dude was all over the field. TJ is going to be a very good player for us as an OLB. I had him as a slight edge over Willis who I like very much.

I want Awuzie, Baker or Mixon.
      Trolls are people too.

I'm thinking we might grab a S in round 2 if one of the better guys are still left. I'd love to come away with Budda Baker, Josh Jones, or Marcus Williams.

Baker's size scares me a bit, but he might be one of the biggest potential difference makers at the S position a la Bob Sanders. Josh Jones is way underrated and the safer pick imho. I have no idea how this guy isn't a top S in the draft with his size, speed, and athleticism, plus he's brings an attitude when he plays. I like Williams because he plays the ball better than the rest of the Ss in the draft. I wouldn't be as excited with the pick, but I think he's got potential and could be a good fit to help us shore up coverage for the long term and we seem to lean toward guys that can take the ball away.

This is also the point where I'd start to consider Sidney Jones or Mixon. It's time to consider taking bets on guys that are clear Round 1 talent. Either of these 2 guys have the potential to be one of the biggest steals in the draft. But they also have big question marks that none of us could answer if they can be overcome.

Overall, my board for the Steelers of guys I would be most excited to see in black and gold:

        1. Baker
        2. J Jones
        3. Williams
        4. S Jones
        5. Mixon

NO QB, RB, OL or WR.

All else is good with me. I'd be happy seeing an OLB "double dip" but think CB or Safety would make more sense

Awuzie, Josh Jones... is the DB from UCONN still on the board?

                  Just be a DB
                  - a man to man CB or a FS.
                  Either way I'll be happy.

I agree, he is good to be a good OLB for us. But then again, that is what we thought of Timmons replacing... (I have to stop and think about it, and I am not even certain, was it Porter olb and then he replaced Farrior ILB)

The more I think about the 1st round, it was D dominated, now teams are going to go for O. There is going to be a run on RB, WR, 2-3 QBs, add in maybe a 1-2 TE. So I see one hell of a player dropping back.

If we could trade up our 2 3rd rounds to get another pick in second would be awsome!
                      2a) Awuzie/King
                      2b) Josh Jones/ McMillan
                      4) Tanoho DE/OLB
                      5) Conners/ Pumphrey RB
                      6) Roberts TE
                      7) Samson Ebukam OLB

I agree with Ovi. Edge rusher is such an important position that I'd double up, but I'd be shocked if the Steelers do. I'd lean towards a corner or safety but would also consider an ILB.

I think we need an ILB in a big way to compete with VW, and depth, but then again maybe we are go with the new trend of a hybrid LB/S where Jones should be able to play.

If GB didn't trade down and took T.J. Watt for themselves, I think we would have considered either Zach Cunningham or Obi Melifonwu at #30. Now we should try to go get Zach or Obi in addition to T.J. rather than instead of T.J.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I'm with ya he's a OLB all day long. Awuzie has game inside and out. I'm just guessing but Mixon I believe is gone by time we pick.
