He was great at the combine. I'd like to pair him with Jordan Willis now. Then go secondary with our 3rd round picks.

The three cone drill, shuttle runs, broad jump, and vertical leap are all more important than 40 time in terms of traits most useful for an edge rusher such as lateral quickness, fluid change of direction skills, and lower body explosion. T.J. excelled in all of those drills relative to other players at his position at the combine. So he possesses the prerequisite athletic ability, has the necessary work ethic, and should improve by leaps and bounds as he gets more experience playing defense (after switching positions from TE).
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Like the pick. Very solid start to the draft.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

            TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

              I like the pick, too.

I also was going to mention Green Bay Packers, but you beat me to it.

Great pick. I guess, I forgot "the hype" about him after the combine....

Now I have a thought, IF at pick 62 there is Willis, Rivers, Bowser, do we double pick OLB and move Watt inside ala Timmons/Woodley

                    awesome selection.
was super happy to see the TE and qbs go ahead of us just in case they were thinking that way.

Heard JJ say his little brother is ahead of where JJ was at the same point in his own development.

Everything I've heard about this kid almost sounds too good to be true. While he doesn't have the size of JJ, he seems to be the most natural athlete in his family and by all accounts he seems driven to be the most successful Watt in the NFL.

He seems to be uber competitive with an insane work ethic that will hopefully rub off on everyone else. Add in his character and demeanor, and it feels like we just drafted the Earl Miller of OLBs.

                      Count me as excited!!!

4.69 40 is very respectable. 37 vertical also shows explosiveness.

I hope we see lots of celebrating and playing to the crowd then. I'll gladly take that when it comes after a splash play

so do I. However, you know how some fans hate the "look at me" celebrations and want guys to get back to the huddle and act like they been there before.

It will I'll be interesting to see the reactions.

He defijitely has some moves and will have I'll have a signature celebration.
