I thought they thought Landry Jones was "better than 80% of the backups in the league"?

I don't like this pick. But he's a Steeler now, so I hope he turns out a lot better than the last QB they drafted from Tennessee.

He has a confirmed 200 IQ..His arm is top-3 in the draft. And he runs a sub 4.4, and is a weapon outside the pocket. With that said..I sure hope he is better then the last Tennessee QB we selected

... the word on Hamburg.... Mettenberger is that he hasn't shown marked improvement since arriving in the 'Burgh. Meaning if he can't beat out LJ he must really be a stiff.

All of the Steeler backup QB's are trash. It's Ben, then warm bodies. Dobbs is their new backup QB.

I don't think Jones is trash but I could see Dobbs jumping over Landry once he learns the play book.

Not sure how good he is at taking snaps under center. I watched a ton of Vols games but I didn't pay much attention how much he was under center. I was more concerned with winning all those nail biters early in the season.

One plus is Dobbs played in a ton of tight games and made some big plays.

Jones is garbage and if you can't beat out Jones then Mettenberg needs to be jettisoned quick, fast and in a hurry.
