They lost to the Pats cause the couldn't keep up. They couldn't convert in the red zone. They couldn't move the chains & gave Brady the ball back. They could keep the ball out of his hands or sustain drives & put points up on the board to give their defense a rest.Comment

We lost because guys were running wide open and we got no pressure on Brady. Zero pressure. Pretty sure there was a point where Brady had 10 or 12 straight completions.
We also had had the Ball for 28 minutes. The defense was rested they just stunk up the joint.Last edited by feltdizz; 04-27-2017, 03:58 PM.Steelers 27

seriously - these folks act like they didn't see the first 3 quarters of what Atlanta did to them. tight coverage, with guys who could cover. good pass rush with guys who could get there quickly. not for their idiotic, over-aggressive tendencies, they win that super bowl.2013 MNF Executive Champion!Comment

I didn't watch the Super Bowl. So, if you were referring to me, I wasn't acting like I didn't see the first three quarters.seriously - these folks act like they didn't see the first 3 quarters of what Atlanta did to them. tight coverage, with guys who could cover. good pass rush with guys who could get there quickly. not for their idiotic, over-aggressive tendencies, they win that super bowl.

We just got beat by a team that was MISSING the best tight end in the league.
New England is ALWAYS good.
They tend to win superbowls when they have excellent secondary players.
In fact has anybody noticed the trend that the position that ALWAYS has an all pro player on the Superbowl champion is CORNERBACK.
Ravens are the last Superbowl winning team without a top corner.sigpic
In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Pats closed the season scoring 30 plus in 6 out of 7 games.....without the best tight end in the league.
The single common factor in the LAST FOUR Super Bowl champs....including BOTH NE wins?
Elite corners, every last one of them. Even a bigger common factor than elite QBssigpic

New England let Logan Ryan walk, flirted with trading Malcolm Butler to New Orleans, and opted to pay top dollar to a Buffalo corner instead. That tells me that Belichick himself didn't believe his corners were All Pro caliber. We just got beat by a team that was MISSING the best tight end in the league.

Ravens are the last Superbowl winning team without a top corner.Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.Comment
