I remember listening to individuals sing praise of this kid during the 2016 Season. Saying how he is a bonafide first rounder and a sure fire top-10 selection, etc.

And now we are 3+ days from the Draft and he's a potential 2nd round selection??!

If Peppers is there at 30, I would strongly consider him.
With Peppers, you can tighten the screws on more than a couple positions. And his effectiveness as a Return Specialist should not be overlooked. With Knile Davis AND Peppers, it pretty much removes AB from handling those duties.
To me, he's absolutely worth it at 30. A risk, perhaps, but it's a small one, I think.

And then we can take Tim Williams in Rnd. 2.

I think the guy is a steal at 30.

The problem is, a lot of respectable guys including Gil Brandt are so adamant of him (that he can't play Safety). That is more than a bit disconcerting.
Peppers would be a solid pick at #30. I'm totally OK if that is the pick and I can see that as the pick. I remember all the negatives about Troy P leading up to the draft. I really think Peppers could be a similar difference maker.

I have no idea what to make of Peppers. He's supposed to be a great athlete, great leader, etc. But I see him as a bit too small for a dime linebacker type. I'm also not sure I like a future safety tandem of Pepper and Davis. And the lack of INTs troubles me.

I don't like workout warrior types, but the Steelers have gambled on raw athletes recently, like Dupree. I could see Obi as the guy more than Peppers.

          .
Brandt is now in his mid-80's, which is why he talks football on the radio now as opposed to working in the league. He was the chief talent scout for the Cowboys from their birth in 1960 until Jerry Jones bought the team and unceremoniously dumped Hall of Fame legend Tom Landry and his entire staff. But in his nearly 3 decade long run with the same organization, Brandt essentially revolutionized how players are scouted. Dude knows more football than everyone on here put together, and it ain't close. I think he'll receive legit HoF consideration himself as a contributor to the game in the near future (hopefully while he is still alive to enjoy it).
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Again, boy....I'd love to see Colbert's draft board to know just what he thinks of Peppers, Obi, Cunningham, etc.etc.

              Here's why:

NFL notified teams that Michigan’s Jabril Peppers tested positive for a dilute sample at the combine, league sources tell ESPN.

Good lord. I would love to see an active draft by our front office.

Imagine a draft where the first 3 picks are McKinley (around at 30 due to shoulder surgery) and Peppers (drug testing) and Jake Butt (injury). 3 potential 1st rounders all with little or no movement at all.

There's a lot of value to be had if the team is willing to gamble a little.

Make it Sidney Jones at 3.94 and Jake Butt 3.105.
