Talent wise, I'd say he's right there. Lake was just so cerebral. It remains to be seen if Peppers will play on pure talent or if he has that awareness.

Same idiot that said the Steelers were close to signing Hightower. No credibility at all.

I never watched him play, but his write-ups sound A LOT like Troy. The question that I hear a lot of (by fans, not necessarily experts) is that he can't cover. Now, Troy couldn't really cover either, but if Peppers really doesn't have cover skills (though on his write-ups, they do say he played some slot CB), that would concern me.

If you recall too, Troy was fantastic with the ball in his hands. He could've easily been a great PR too, because he was such wildman running with the ball.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

We are not using a first round pick on a secondary player who can't cover. This is lying season right now; if Colbert said he really likes a certain player, then he really likes someone else.

The "other" safety perhaps (oh PLEASE let that be the case).
I have no clue why "ONE PICK" Peppers is rated higher than Obi by nearly everyone.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

                  As opposed to Obi:
                  STRENGTHS

Elite size with premium athletic traits that should show up at combine testing (4.4 forty). Four-year starter. Sharp focus when ball is in the air. Takes path to the ball with undercut of the route at the last second. Plus hand-eye coordination to flip the field with interceptions. Former cornerback who has the athleticism to cover matchup tight ends and some big slots. Posted six interceptions over last two seasons.

Probably the case. Stating on the record that "I love Jabrill Peppers" a couple weeks before the draft is likely because they prefer Obi Melifonwu or Budda Baker or whatever. Unless, of course, Colbert was publicly professing his love for jalapeno peppers and Aditi's auto-correct kicked in.

Same thing with her report at we are zeroing in on the best available DB (either corner or safety) with our first round pick. Could actually mean that we are more likely to draft the best available linebacker on day one (either inside or outside), before switching our focus to the secondary on day two. We'll see.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

                      JABRILLLL PEPPAS!!!!

I heard that name a thousand times during Michigan games but it was never for his highlights. It was always before punts that were fair caught or before the game. Hell, the bowl game they showed him in the stands more than they showed the coaches.

Obi IS the better pick. Stevie Wonder can see that.
