In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

True! That is why in the real world, I probably wouldn't draft him. He certainly seemed like the BPA with what was left to choose from.Comment

That is funny! Honestly, I don't know too much about many of these prospects other that draft profiles, highlights, and interviews I've seen on NFL network. This dude, I just fell in love with his confidence. Some might think, buyer, beware! But there is something about a kid with confidence and the tape to back it up. To heck with all of the measurables. Just give me someone who know how to play!Comment

1. SS Obi Melifonwu
2. OLB Jordan Willis
3. CB Cam Sutton
3c. RB Samaje Perine
4. DE Tanoh Kpassagnon
(Obi is such a unique player that it's hard to pass on a guy like that...he has Randy Moss like athletic gifts in the defensive backfield. Although I am certainly tempted by Njoku if he fell to us...if I took the TE first, then I would probably use our comp pick on FS Marcus Maye rather than Perine).Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.Comment

1) Njoko, we can cut Green, have a 1-2 punch combo at TE with JJ, drops need to add a WR to be insurance as the 2nd receiver on the team with Coates and Bryant questions.
2) Reekwon McMillian, ( doesn't he have a jedi-irish name) competition for starter with VW, and adds depth for Shazier( durability issues)
3) Do we have 2 choices here, since we have 2 picks in this round?
a) Perine we have no #2 back and with bell's durability it will be an issue ( trade back if option, grab a RB in later round ( conner/Gallman and a pick to get another option in the deep draft in OLB/DB)
b) Sutton, as our 2nd 3rd pick ( Ahkello Witherspoon, I think he might be there in the 3rd, but I will play by your choices)
4) I think this is one of the hardest places to pick, lots of talent here, if we go for BPA and not need. Tempting here to go with a double dip with RB between Conner and Gallman. ( add more horses for our empty stable in the backfield)
Tanoh sounds promising in a rotation with Truit and Heyword. Smoot, to compete with Moats, Chicko, as releif for Harrison. ( didn't he resign a 2 year contract this year? Who thinks he still starts for those 2 years? )
But I think I would go with Smoot, just because of need in our OLB.
I, honestly, believe we can get 4 quality starters from the first 4 rounds in this years draft, by the end of the season.

I like this kind of stuff but you know what? Unless I can see Colbert's board on how he personally has players rated, this is a moot point.
Boy, wouldn't we all looooooooooooove to see Colbert's draft board?Comment

I have to admit, I made my picks already knowing who would be available in the following rounds (cheating?) Had I pretended to not know who would be there in the following rounds, the picks would be different.
Knowing I could pick up Jordan Willis in round 2 and Sutton in round 3 allowed me to grab a player that I love, Buddha as somewhat of a luxury pick in round one.Last edited by blacknblue80s; 04-11-2017, 11:48 AM.sigpic

Good point. Same for me. In the actual draft, they're not going to have the luxury of knowing who will be available down the line ... which makes a world of difference.Comment
