his combine 40 surprised me - expected 4.5 or better. his vision is very good. don't agree (at all) with the "one cut" assessment... kid has some wiggle.

OT, but, on slightly: Funny how quickly builds of RBs have changed. FWP skinnier (slightly taller, roughly the same weight, i.e., "thinner"). 10 years later, 205 is too small to be an every down back. Very fascinating.

Dayes just isn't that good. Even if he can take an NFL pounding he is an average #2 at best.

i'm not saying he's an all-pro back. i am saying that he'd be a 6th/7th rounder that may actually win the job as Leveon's backup if DeAngelo wasn't resigned - isn't that what we're looking for?

(in the grand scheme of things, I almost always have a "project" RB that is a mid-to-late rounder that I find myself high on. One year, he's David Johnson. Another, he's DeAnthony Thomas.. they can't all be home runs - lol)

small highlight vid for those who haven't seen him (i have it on mute - i hope the music isn't anything odd/offensive).

Ehh maybe if that's what you are saying. An average #2, yeah I think he can be that. I would rather grab a 3/4 rounder for #2 and use that 7th for Tarik Cohen.

nice find. I remember seeing him run all over ND in the mud.

So NFL network just had a source say many GM's believe McCaffrey will go top 10. So I can see 2 maybe 3 RB before 20? What do you guys say? I think it is McCaffrey's WR ability just like Bell moving him up. Fournette 1st then McCaffrey then Cook I think. Quick turn around for no RB's with Bell and Elliott paving the way for RB's.

Please do. And I hope no one takes offense if I disagree with them. I don't claim to get them all right and I'm sure I'll miss a guy...maybe Dayes is that guy. But, I'm just not seeing it.

                    Nice write up Shawn.

Another late round prospect that IMO would be a great pick up in the 5th round range is Brian Hill from Wyoming.

BnB, good to have you back. Are you going to do a mock for this draft?

Thanks BH! Funny I just noticed my sig mock from 2015.

This is one I did on another site:

                        3. Justin Evans S Texas A&M
                        3. Jordan Leggett TE Clemson
                        4. Tanoe Kpassagnon DE Villanova
                        5. Brian Hill RB Wyoming
                        6. Jerod Evans QB Virginia Tech (or Chad kelly if Evans is gone)
                        7. Robert Davis WR Georgia State[/quote]

I was just reading King's bio. Pretty impressive. He might be more of what we need then Obi. Makes me really wish we had another late round, first round pick.

That would be a fine haul, if it landed that way.
