Why are they visiting with so many WRs???

We have a current corps of:
    AB

    Coates
    Eli Rogers
    Ayers
    DHB
    Cobi Hamilton
    the new guy from UT

I left that #2 spot empty, because none of the guys on the roster seem ideal at #2 right now. But, no one we draft this year will either. AND, we have Martavis still waiting in the wings. If nothing happens with him and we draft a WR, that WR won't emerge above any of the guys listed above. He'll just be another one of our MANY #3-#6 type WRs. Even if a #1 type WR were to be available for us at #30 or 60, there certainly is value to be at elsewhere that fills a need.

We're wasting visits on WRs, when we should be spending them on OLB, QB, DB, TE. Thats it--look at stud TEs, if you want another receiving threat!
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

Don't over think it. Their looking at a lot of WR's.; what does that tell you?

Can always use another good one in today's NFL however I say it's all a smokescreen.

what were we left with in the AFCCG?

You can never have too many WR's. Bryant is coming back but we don't have a dependable #3 and #4. The young guys look good but you never know what else is out there that may be an immediate upgrade.

You answered your own question. No #2 that we know we can count on. We will keep the options open.

Yep. We got AB and then the rest.

A dominant #2 (could be a TE) would be a big difference maker

One of the outside spots is obviously sewn up with Brown.

I think Eli Rogers does a good job in the slot, and Ayers should be solid enough backing him up on the inside.

The question marks at the other outside spot is what concerns them. Will Bryant be reinstated? Can a healthy Coates replicate what he did during the first month of the season? Is Heyward-Bey anything more than just a special teams contributor at this point? Is Cobi Hamilton more than just practice squad fodder?

It's not something they'll address in round 1 (unless, say, Mike Willams happens to fall into their laps). Maybe a guy with some size in the middle rounds such as Malachi Dupre, Noah Brown, Kenny Golladay, or Josh Reynolds.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I really hope the Steelers grab Noah Brown. He is a perfect #2. While he won't blow anyone away with a 4.2 40. He is incredibly tough, brutal blocker, gets off jams, runs great routes, terrific hands, a chain moving RZ threat who got lost on that Buckeye team because of terrible QB play.

What round is Noah Brown expected to go? We could have the WR firm of Brown and Brown.

NFLDraftScout has him ranked as the 16th WR in this class, with a 4th round projection. Although if you don't think he'd last to where we pick in the bottom of the 4th, you might consider him with our 3rd round comp pick. We used a 3rd round comp pick to take Hines Ward once upon a time, and his scouting report reads like a bigger-bodied Hines type.

I suspect he will be a late 3rd rounder.

That's exactly who Noah reminds me of...tough as nails Hines Ward.

true words. i told a buddy of mine when I floated the idea of njoku in the 1st if he is there. you're drafting a pass catcher. another weapon for Ben in the red zone

and I have scoffed a the TE in the 1st obsession you have had in the past, but if this guy is there or somebody you really value in the 2nd or 3rd? take him
