Tim Williams???

Saw a recent mock on nfl.com with the Steelers taking Tim Williams at #30. Even though he is a great prospect, I don't see it happening. Thoughts?

HOWEVER...

Reportedly failed multiple drug tests.

Arrested on a misdemeanor gun charge.

Reportedly struggles with scheme and needs things simplified for him.

He only started 2 games this season, since he is pretty much only a situational pass rusher as opposed to an every down guy.

I'll pass. Too many other edge rush prospects who aren't as one-dimensional and don't carry near as much baggage.

In the Timmons thread, didn't you say you wanted either Williams or Zach Cunningham in the first round?

I believe there are too many other good pass rushers in this draft to have to focus in on Williams and his many issues. Every time I see this guy flash, he is reminding me too much of Jarvis Jones with his non-muscular physique.

Yes...but I don't want Williams anymore; he's not on my radar with Cunningham and the big safety also sitting there.

I was just watching the mock draft they have on the NFL network and they indeed do have us taking Williams. Gzzzz

if Zach's there, i take him before ANY other prospect. that's how good *I* think he is... I see him spending his career among league leaders in tackles annually.

That's how I have my mock now...Cunningham seems to be a forgotten guy as pundits drool over Combine times rather than actual game tapes. The draft is deep enough with edge rushers, corners, and safeties that we should be able to find capable ones on Friday night and early Saturday morning.

unfortunately, that's the talking heads. i don't see the nfl teams letting him fall that far. i HOPE they do, but, i don't expect it. pre-combine, he had risen to top 15-ish in most mocks. i don't see him being outside of the top 20
