If I was Brown, I'd want something between what Timmons and Hightower got. Brown had more tackles than Timmons, more sacks (4 - 2.5), and the rest of his numbers were comparable. He's a younger player, too.

I like Vince, but if Brown could be had for near what Minter was paid, I think you'd have to strongly consider it. Coming out of college, he was fast. I haven't seen him play enough to know if his injury in 2014 sapped that speed.

The market is tightening. Brown will be lucky to get $5M per year.

He is better than Vince Williams so I would like us to get him, but unlikely. I still think we are saving money to extend Tuitt, AV and others.

I'd be okay offering him a little bit more than what Miami gave Timmons in total (2 years, $13 million instead of 2 years, $12 million) but with much less guaranteed money (say, $4-$5M guaranteed instead of $11M guaranteed).
