[QUOTE=squidkid;689972]Yep, I'm confident that Tomlin does not send his team into a game without preparation,a coach can only do so much it's up to the players to execute. When Ben comes out flat do you really believe it's because Tomlin didn't prepare him?Comment

[QUOTE=Mr.wizard;689979]
when ben states that they play as the practice(sloppy and undisciplined), that is also on tomlin.steelers = 3 ring circus with tomlin being the head clownComment

[QUOTE=squidkid;689982]That's crap, your going to tell me Mike Tomlin, fastest coach to 100 wins, never had a losing season, superbowl winning coach, doesn't know how to run a practice or game plan. If we where so bad how did we end up in the AFCCG?Comment

While I don't underestimate Tomlin's ability to coach, I think the point some are trying to make is that it will take a little more than business as usual for both coaches and players in order to beat a team like the Patriots. Their coach and preparations are meticulous and for the most part without peer. To beat such a team probably means something beyond the ordinary has to be done and I don't know that we hear that from either Tomlin or Roethlisberger.
Both Tomlin and Roethlisberger give this team the best chance to get past NE, but it will take something more from them to get it done.Comment

Of course we only made it to that game by the skin of our teeth ("The Immaculate Extension"), it would be nice if we took care of business a little better this coming year than last year.
Come to think of it, those frustrating dumb losses last year (and the year before, and ...) might reflect the same issues with preparation as our miserable performance in the conference championship game did.
Here's hoping!
We got our "6-PACK" - time to work on a CASE!

A healthy Bell, Heyward and Davis would have given us a better chance to win. We lacked pass rush, a running game AND the Pats scored in the play when Davis came out due to a nagging shoulder injury.
Tomlin definitely deserves blame blame for that stale defensive effort BUT the players have to execute. Regardless how well you coach em up if they fail to execute it will result in a loss.
I jnow some want to put to put the bulk of the blame on Tomlin but we were down 17 to 6 with the ball on the GL and we got the ball to start the second half. It's hard for me to stay angry at our game plan when I step back and see the way the game unfolded.
Definitely think we needed a few wrinkles in out game plan in the second half regardless of the first half because the Pats always make adjustments. Pretty sure we tried going man and Gay was burned badly in the second half. It would be nice if our offense put up points because it's hard to keep the Pats out of the endzone.
3rd and short and we tried a long pass. How about movomg the chains.
I don't think we came our flat to start the game but we definitely came out flat to start the 3rd quarter.Steelers 27

Yes, we made the AFCCG last year. And we embarrassed ourselves, didn't you notice?
Injuries are part of the game. Ask Gronk.
Are their 2nd and 3rd string backups (you know, the ones who gashed us) that much more physically gifted than ours? Or were they just better prepared ... coached?
They scored on the one play that Davis came out with a sore shoulder, they were super alert, saw the change on the field, and turned their gameplan around on a dime to take advantage and score.
Can anyone imagine our OC or DC doing that?

I think our OC saw a few weaknesses but our players didn't make plays on offense.Steelers 27
