    Ben Roethlisberger

....'has lost game' according to Colin Cowherd. But take heart, he also thinks Flacco has been ordinary since his big contract signing. Also thinks Dalton is decent. Believes the AFC North is ripe for any of the teams to ascend... including the Browns. If nothing else the division parity should make for a fun upcoming season. Remember, the Steelers advanced into the playoffs by the nose of a football....

I know some yinz can't stand Cowherd but I'm just putting it out there....

Cowturd mostly just likes to be controversial. Sometimes he gets it right. But even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Cowhurd is right about 30% of the time. He needs to go back and lay on his shrink's couch and further review how his previous wife used to beat him.

I'm sure he took into account that Ben had one legit starting WR and a very young TE to throw to.

He had a statistically good game on the road in the Conference Championship, right? That was nice to see. And kind of refutes CCs main point, to a degree.

I'd like to read during the off-season that "Ben is working out hard with ..." (whoever that should be), and then he comes back chiseled with a Steely (McBean?) glint in his eye. That would be awesome!

We got our "6-PACK" - time to work on a CASE!

Ben working out hard with Deebo would be interesting...but then again, I would start worrying about him pulling his arms clean off like Phil Hartman in that old SNL sketch.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Ben isn't the Ben of old. But, he is still better than most NFL QBs.

He's not in the elite class anymore. Somewhere near the bottom of the top 10 at this point in time. I used to say he was solidly in the top 5.. Not any more. Will it be enough with an upstart defense next year? I don't think he's able to carry teams on his back anymore. Timmons was a huge loss. Not picking up Logan Ryan was a huge missed opportunity. Im afraid building this defense through the draft...while neglecting to address drafting Ben's replacement... is going to cause us to miss Ben's window... while sending us back to the 90s (elite defenses and mediocre QB play).

No, he no longer can carry a team on his back, certainly not for more than a sporadic game here and there. I believe he recognizes this when he spoke about who will take the team on his back. That's Bell. The way Bell took over games late in the season was breath taking to watch and Ben will need that kind of production.

Bell is definitely "That guy". The problem is... up to this point... he hasn't been around when it's mattered most.

Bell hasn't finished a season healthy yet!! And because of this, we have to address getting a good back up behind him. I think Williams is out of gas now. He's been great for us. But we are in a RB deep draft; if Colbert took a RB in round 3, who could blame him?

Bell is injury prone. Yep..I"m going to say it. No one else wants to. He's injury prone and we need another good RB for depth purposes because of Bell's being injury prone.

I don't think D Williams is out of gas. He was at or near the top of the league in rushing after the first few games of the season. It would have been nice to get him some meaningful reps late in the year... because Bell's injury (in the KC game?) threw us for a loop in the AFCC game. Regardless..it is time to get another 1A type of back behind bell.

Very true, hence my frustration with Bell. It's why I would have hesitated with the long term deal and opted to franchise him for two years.

wasnt DW out a few games due to injury after the first 4 games?

he is good for a game or 2 but that's it.

He had surgery during the season. He isn't the answer.
