Steelers gave Cockrell a 1 year tender for $1.797M. It would cost another team a 4th rounder to get him, which could conceivably happen. Basically the Steelers don't mind him being on the team but wouldn't be sad if he left. Nice if he works out for another season but deemed replaceable.

Jordy has burned a lot of people... Gay was solid, but, never fast enough to make it more than 8-10 years into his career (the minute he lost a step, it was kinda done because he didn't have a step to spare).

On draft day, I said, "he'll remind you of Deshea" (while draft experts called it a wasted pick). Of course, I had the benefit of being a Louisville alum and saw a lot of him. I won't drag him through the mud, but, it's time. He's done.

We've got Artie, Cockrell and curious what comes of Golson. I could see another CB being selected early... first round wouldn't surprise me, but, if a good speed rusher is there, all bets are off since there's also a hole there.
