    Bleacher Report's Steelers 7-Round Pre-Combine Draft

    1. LB Haason Reddick, Temple
    2. CB Cordrea Tankersley, Clemson
    3. WR Ju Ju Smith-Schuster, USC; 3a. TE Jake Butt, Michigan (Comp pick)
    4. DE/OLB Derek Rivers, Youngstown State
    5. CB Corn Elder, Miami
    6. QB Alec Tolgersen, Penn
    7. S Tony Conner, Ole Miss

Not a bad haul I suppose. They compare Reddick's speed and athleticism to Ryan Shazier. Tankersley is tall CB at 6'1''.

I'd love to come out of the draft with Reddick and Rivers, but I just don't see that happening, particularly not in the 4th. I've seen Rivers kicked around in the borderline first - second round range, despite the small school.

Derek Rivers in the 4th will never happen. He will go higher from what I have seen so far. I would love to see it happen with 1st and 2nd though.

Rivers may improve his stock on pro day or at combine but watching some tape on him I think 4th round is about right. He has a burst and I know he had a good senior bowl week where my buds who were there said he had a great week but he doesn't get off blocks quick enough imho that could improve with coaching but that is a concern considering the low level of talent that he played against.

I'd be content if it went down this route.

Getting Reddick could be a double valued pick. He can be "coached" and groomed by Harrison for a year or two..or he could be Timmons replacement (Two Ryan Shaziers in the middle? Yep, count me in)

If the Steelers had to take a corner in the second..I'd prefer Cam Sutton.

Both third round picks, I love. Getting Juju and Butt in the third would be worth the gamble, to be honest. As a Wolverines fan..I got to watch a lot of him, he had first round going for him until his injury. Can become one of the best. Getting Juju is an instant upgrade over Coates and Wheaton..guaranteed #2 from day one.

It would be a miracle if Rivers fell to the fourth. Would jump on that pick right away, if that's the case. I'd draft a running back in the fourth, very deep depth for this class.

I don't think Corn will last to day three..pass on him. I'd rather sign a vet corner instead of another corner via draft.

Meh for both last picks. I'd prefer to sign a UDFA QB and have him be a project.

Love the Reddick pick. I'd rather take our next Line backer with our first 3rd round pick.

We've been fortunate to have good players usually fall to us in the first round. So with that in mind, I'm thinking a super stud will fall to us because of the expected blunders of the bad drafting teams ahead of us.

There maybe more then 3 QB's that go in the first round; Maybe more then two RB go in the first round; I think those things happen and push a great player to us at 30. Maybe I'm spoiled, but that's what I think will happen.

I think QB's will fall because it's a weak QB draft. Not sure why people are so pressed to get a sub par QB in the first when we can get one late or wait until a year or 2.

I don't think he was thinking that the Steelers would take a QB, but mentioned that in most years, teams freak out and take QB's early, just because.

And just because of that reason, someone that should've been picked in... say the top 20, will fall to us at 30?? Which is very possible.
