    Sheldon Richardson; Hear me out

I think we should make the move for Sheldon Richardson. Now I know our philosophy on big free agent signings. But I think for many reasons we should seriously consider him.er for him.

    Here are my reasons:

    1. Adding him to the rotation with Tuitt and Heward would give us that monster pass rush off the edges we need. And he can switch inside if the down and distance warrant it.

    2. He commands a double team; making the linebackers job even easier on the pass rush.

    3. This frees us up to go hog wild (if we choose) on the linebacker and secondary positions in the first 4 rounds. We could really focus in on those.

He's going to count 8 mil against the cap but I believe we've for once got the space but I don't think anyone is going to offer more then possibly a 2nd round pick and we can go that route if we have to because we have two 3rd round picks.

Give me the pros and cons on this one. Am I being too much of a homer on this?

I don't know all that much about Sheldon. What I do know is adding one big splash free agent on D...secondary, OLB, or DL would be wise. Ben's time is coming to a close. Our window won't be open much longer. We need to do things we don't typically do to speed up the growth on D.
    Trolls are people too.

not sure, he used snapchat before a game and got in trouble over it. Also has a 4 game weed suspension and was clocked at 143 mph last year.

on second thought, he fits right in with our band of talented weeded out social media misfits.

New York Jets defensive end Sheldon Richardson has been disciplined by the team for making a profanity-laced Snapchat video in the locker room before losing to the Miami Dolphins last Saturday.

I'd rather see the Steelers pursue Dontari Poe who apparently just hit the free agency market this morning.

Obviously the standard is the standard.

Poe is another good one. I wanted him for us when he came out of college.

No kidding! Rookie starter, made progress through the year. Lots to potentially expect in Year 2 I would think.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

I'm fine with Hargrave, he's still my favorite of last year's draft class. I suppose Poe wouldn't take the back up role, anyways

We won't have a big splash Free Agent (unless you count Brown or Bell)

If you really love Hargrave you will want our FO to get him some help on the DL. You can never have too many fresh legs on the DL demanding double teams.

I'll pass on POE and Richardson.
We need depth on the DL but lets not make it crowded. Lets make our LB corps crowded first.
