Not a chance he returns, even for cheap. He just isn't that good.

It was pretty tough miss in the 4th rd in 2013 when they were needing safety help. And Carnell Lake talked him up big time. What we don't know is whether he was merely spouting the company line or truly thought Thomas was going to be that good.

I would be fine with him as a special teams player only for the league minimum, but he's always hurt. I don't see the value in a special teamer that isn't available for half of the season. I'd let him walk and hope that somebody else gives him enough of a contract that he factors into the comp pick formula, and even that is doubtful.

Exactly what I was thinking... Shamarko Thomas has as much bearing on the success of the team next year as I do: none. Actually as I type this, I guess the point is that you don't want to waste a roster spot on a guy like me (i.e. a nobody).
