    1) Heath Miller
    2) Mark Bruener
    3) Randy Grossman

I also think that Jay Riemersma was decent for a while.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

I like your list but I'd put Green #2, then MB and RG....Jay was good but not so much for us....

Yes, Green definately number 2. I would suggest that for a short period he was more dominant than even Miller, though Miller had the better career.
How anyone can mention 4 Steeler tight ends and leave Green out is insane.

Green led the team in every major receiving category in 93.

In fact he led the entire team including all backs and receivers in yards from scrimmage that season.

Dude was like 280 and could get open deep and was literally another lineman as a blocker as he was a big as a tackle of that era.

He was without question the most dominant weapon NOD could go to that season.

Though his peak was brief, his value to the team relative to his team mates has never been equaled by another Steeler tight end.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

BTW, in addition to your complete "miss" on Green, I put Bennie Cunningham at number 2.

A case can be made for Mark B (for his blocking), but "Grossman?"
NOT EVEN CLOSE to Cunningham who's career overlapped with Grossman.

Grossman was a "smurf" at the position who never put TWO touchdowns together in a single season. He could not make a major COLLEGE roster today.

Cunningham not only had legit size he had had 20 TDs to Grossmans 5 and betters Grossman in almost every quantifiable way.

Eric Green never saw a SuperBowl.
            He'd be #1
            Miller #2

Only way Breuner makes the list is for "honorable mention" for his blocking

honorable mention? We were a run heavy team with Bruener and had some pretty crappy QB play. I think he makes the list. His blocking was incredible.

Heath had undoubtedly the better overall career than Green, and even their best single statistical seasons were comparable.

Heath had 71 catches for 816 yards and 8 TD in 2012.

Green had 63 catches for 942 yards and 5 TD in 1993.

Heath is #1 and it isn't close.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Its only not close because of the time spent ....Eric Green was a freak of nature. How a 280lb man could be as athletic as he was has never been seen again at the TE position. Gronk even pales in comparison....

Bennie C was good but not better then Green. (BradshawHD)
