Hahahahaha... It's just that people don't like to change. But the fact is, we (Steelers organization) needs to change a couple of things if they want to get past the Patriots. This organization has done things in a certain way for so long that of course most of our fan base gets after anyone who wants some changes. But it's all good; Ultimately we are all on the same team with one goal in mind. A Championship.

Every year fans want us to be like the team who won the SB. I've been guilty of it myself but never the Pats. That's one team I want us to never be like

Why because they don't sign that big free agent, they keep resigning their own. They keep doing the same **** and come out and tell you how great they are. They ain't dominant, they are competitive but so what? They have to get picket and hope new england do an meet them in the play offs. How about they try something different?
Yes they have super bowls but it could be a lot more. Why does new england dominate? Look at that easy path they had to the super bowl. They say "tomlin isn't going anywhere". " he's a great coach" no he isn't great coaches make sure they get that number one seed.

The Steelers rarely have a positive salary cap, let alone 30 million. Let's sit back and wait it out. They may bring in a FA that's in high demand now that they have the money. Even after signing AB and Bell they'll have quite a bit of money left over for a surprising move or two....

I believe there is a valid point in there - we seem to be built to get to the conference championship, but as long as our coaching philosophy doesn't change and we still have to face the **s there, I feel pessimistic about advancing to the SB.

Still have a bad taste in my mouth from our last game ...

I'd love to hear what we would do different if we met them there next year.

                    This.

It's not a talent issue, IMO. It's a scheme issue.

This. But it's a combination of a talent issue and scheme issue. And mix in some undispline by the players

I expect the Steelers will try to address this need in the draft, but they could also could try to pick up a mid-level FA OLB that could be put into the rotation and help greatly without breaking the bank, like John Simon of the Texans. Or they could trade a lower-round draft pick for someone like Conner Barwin from the Eagles.

It is only a scheme issue. We've consistently had good enough talent (maybe not in the early '11-14 era). It is only about scheming. ..........No one should be surprised the Patriots are playing in their seventh Super Bowl in the last 16 years. The faces change—except owner Robert Kraft, head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady—but the winning continues. The Patriots understand team-building better than any other American pro sports franchise other than maybe the San Antonio Spurs. This year alone, New England traded its two most talented linebackers—Chandler Jones and Jamie Collins—and still fielded the NFL's No. 1 scoring defense.

I don't think it's a scheme issue, the Patriots play a number of different scheme's throughout every season and they continue to win, no matter what defenses throw at them. I think the difference is Tom Brady, his ability to diagnose defenses at the line scrimmage and consistently get them into the right plays is what makes them so tough. As Brady goes the whole team goes and that was evidenced by the Superbowl.
