Losing Bell was big, but not the end of the game.

Junior receivers completely failed to rise up, and in fact Coates went completely backwards. He need to be gone, he's an idiot and can't catch for jack.

I don't know what they were thinking with the 3 man rush, no blitzing. You have to assume they know what they are doing or at least had some evidence or idea that this strategy may work - hold them to FGs and let Bell run - but while that works on some teams, it seem like the last strategy to use against Brady. I don't get it.

Failures in the (ultra) red zone. Should have killed us last week, and definitely killed us this week. 1st and goal on the 1 foot line, and no TD? You deserves to lose.

That means that other players are being put into position to make plays. There were some huge - game changing - drops. I'm not talking about balls dislodged after a hit, or a drop in tight coverage with a hand in the face or smacking at the ball. I'm talking about DROPS. In tennis these would be called unforced errors.

In typical Belichick fashion, he took the best player away and made the others try to beat them. These guys were often put into position to make plays and too often did not. Coates with a couple of big drops, Hamilton in the EZ, Rogers with a fumble. Get a couple of these go our way and this is a different game.
Here is Bens take and he is not wrong Roethlisberger later echoed that, in essence, by saying of his secondary receivers, “It’s frustrating because we need to make every single play in a game like this against an opponent like this.” He then went on to praise every active receiver in the game except for Coates.Bus, meet Sammie. Sammie, bus.
      Wait, Ben’s got more?
“It just felt like the game was almost too big for some of the young guys.

Let's pretend the Patriots are Dracula.

If your going to fight Dracula, you must use these tools:

        1. A cross
        2. Sunlight
        3. A stake applied to his heart.

Only those things can stop Dracula. If you don't use those things, you have absolutely no shot in stopping him.

If your going to fight the Patriots, these are the things you must do:

        1. Man on Man defense
        2. Strong pass rush against Brady
        3. Convert red zone opportunities to TD's

So what did Tomlin come out with? He was playing zone defense the entire game. And the only time they got to Brady is when they went Man on man defense on one side of the field and they zoned the other and it confused Brady and they sacked him.

I walked out the sports bar after the first two passes by Brady. I knew the game was over for us before they kicked the first field goal.

If this doesn't show you how stupid the coaching staff and Tomlin are, I don't know what to tell you.
