ESPN just announced it. I guess they wanna avoid the Ice rain and all. I have heard that for serious Lightning...but never this. Now it won't start til 8:15 PB KC time. That is gonna suck for Steeler fans in Pittsburgh.
Wow....Our game time has been changed....

nfl.com says:
The league has pushed back the start time for Sunday's Steelers-Chiefs game in Kansas City from 1:05 p.m. EST to 8:20 p.m. EST due to public safety concerns, the league announced Friday.
But yes, that does stink. A Sunday night game, where win or lose, I won't be able to fall asleep until 2am from the excitement of the game! -

Weather is something you have to deal with. And for the league to placate to the KC team and it's fans I think is unfair to the Steelers. I mean there will be Thousands of KC people who have work, travel the roads, ect, is the league gonna postpone their jobs and start times as well ? I mean it is not like the weather will be dangerous for the fans and players during the game..like lightning.
I don't know, this just seems weird to me. And I guarantee if the Steelers win, the media will some how say it was a fluke, and that it was because of this time change.Comment

And you know what is funny, they said that they are doing this for public safety ? I don't know about you sir, but I have been to Arrowhead for 2 different games. And I will tell you this, KC and it's fans have probably the biggest Tailgate event I have ever seen. They are always out there in force like 6-8 hours before the kickoff. Even on the one game I was there for that had a 1:00PM start time...they were there like at 5AM...and I mean like 50,000 + were there. It is nothing like you have ever seen. So bottom line, is this really going to keep KC fans off the Icy roads ? Hell no. They will just have even more time to Party and get juiced up. Which means when the game is over, there will be like 10,000 + cars on the road in what still could be Icy road conditions, or at the very least a very hard and steady Rain which the most recent reports say that there will be. So great Roger...now you will still have fans leaving the game after it is over. Only now they will be more drunk...and driving home in the Dark and in heavy Rain....Genius Goodell.Comment

Steelers will shine in prime time. I've got a feelin' ...

Of course, I thought the Miami game would be close, so what do I know?Comment

The public safety thing makes a lot of sense since worst of the ice is coming in Saturday night into Sunday morning. Instead of having tens of thousands of fans out on icy roads early in the morning this allows the city to get out and treat the roads. It's supposed to warm up enough to turn to rain as the day goes on. You could show up at noon and still have 8 hours to tailgate.
Both Steelers & Chiefs were consulted and agreed to the change. This should have NO effect whatsoever on the game. Anyone using it, for either side is just making excuses, and not good ones. Bring on Prime Time!!!sigpicComment

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.Comment
