Props to Tomlin, Colbert, FO for these last few drafts

I know we miss every now and then but seriously, our drafts AND FA moves lately have been crazy good.

Davis, Burns, Hargrove, Dupree, Shazier, Bell, AB, Ayers, James, Rodgers, Nix, Gimble

DW, Cockrell, Mitchell (I know, he's loud), DHB...

Imagine if Martavious was playing as well?

Yeah, but can Tomlin win without Cowher's players?
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

The FO has done a really nice job. They've hit most of the early picks and done a really nice job with late round players. Even some of the misses, like Golson, have been injury related.

Instead of addressing gaping holes on D, the Steelers are in a position now where the only real need is an heir apparent to James Harrison, in a draft that seems to have depth at OLB. Once that is addressed, they can start adding to a young core.

Yeah they've hit their stride. I still don't think the defense is ready to win a SB. Maybe if we had a 2nd year Golson contributing now that'd help. But if he comes back and they can hit on OLB, S next draft/ FA, we should have a few seasons of being as talented as any in the league with perennial late playoff runs in the twilight of Ben's career. I hope they are able to take a high ceiling project QB they can mold over the next few seasons in case Ben gets injured or as his eventual replacement. Our talent level will be too high to have to throw away a couple of years because we don't have a QB in case something happens to Ben

We need to lock Warren up with a long term deal -- whatever it takes.
In response to his pleas, an officer said: "You think we've never arrested somebody that's made national media? ... We deal with the Bengals all the time."

If something happens to Ben we will probably get a better draft spot for our next franchise QB. I don't see any QB backing up Ben and taking us to the promise land. Until we make that move it's better to spend those high picks on other positions so Ben doesn't get injured.

Our old personnel man, Tom Donahue once said in this business that if you can bat .250 as a personnel man in the NFL (meaning 1 out of every 4 players you take a chance on becomes a player that's a clear keeper) you're an all-star. That's probably about right. You start training camp with 90, you shuffle another 5-10 through due to injuries/cuts, and you have about 25 in the end that you feel are irreplaceable (i.e. Ben=Irreplaceable, Vince Williams, although I like him =Replaceable). You draft 7 or so every year, invite in 10-15 UDFAs, so with the recent success in players they brought in, I'd say they are, in fact, all-stars. Fire 'em all, haha!
