He clarified, said it was the last play before the kneel down. He kind of mumbled then, but it sounded like he said Suh hit him.

He said Suh fell on his ankle but that was later corrected. Video showed it was Wake. Ben didn't know if an MRI would be done or not. I was kinda surprised to hear that he had an ankle injury, since he didn't stay on the ground or roll around in pain, and then came back out for the kneel-down.Comment

Though I agree with, seeing Aaron Rodgers on the field with 2 minutes to go and GB up 31-13 made me realize that maybe it's not as dumb an idea as it seemed to me (meaning, the Packers coaching staff felt the same way as ours did in that kind of situation).

its only dumb when the QB gets hurt. No one in the post game will say Rodgers should have been out the game.Steelers 27

I'll say it. It was dumb to have Rodgers in at that point. It's dumb when they do it with Brady or Brees, as well ... too big a risk when you don't need your franchise QB on the field.
And I'll ask again, what good is Landry Jones if you can't trust him to come in and hold a 3-score lead with 4 minutes on the clock?Comment

both are dumb, either way. When the DeAngelo came in, Landry should've, too... otherwise, IF you are keeping Ben in (due to experience, clock management, run audibles), you ONLY let him throw quick passes.
Problem is, he just wants to make plays... that injury is partly on HIM for not just getting rid of the ball...2013 MNF Executive Champion!Comment

true.. they only say it when something happens...like the situation this week with Ben... or a few weeks ago with Derek Carr... when the game was well out of handComment

Yep. Why sit Ben, Brown and Bell for last week's game, and then leave them in when it's garbage time in today's game? Makes no sense.
Agreed. At this point in his career, Ben has to know to just get rid of the ball in that situation.Originally posted by SteelerOfDeVilleotherwise, IF you are keeping Ben in (due to experience, clock management, run audibles), you ONLY let him throw quick passes.

The more I think about it I don't think it's dumb. It's rare for starting QB's to come out of playoff games because they crave that time of the year.both are dumb, either way. It's moreso on Ben to chuck it or check to a run. For 12 years we saw Peyton Manning in the playoffs and we never knew who his back up was because he refused to come off the field.Steelers 27
