    Steelers Lead the NFL

in fewest fumbles lost (actually tied with BUF) at 3.

But, they are middle of the road in total giveaways because they have 14 INTs. T Brady has an amazing 2 INTs for the season.

Of course, the post-Deflategate Pats now lead the league in fumbles with 27...however, they only lost 9 of them.

If we play them in the AFCCG, their most likely means of taking the ball away is by picking it off, and our most likely means of taking the all away is by stripping it.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Maybe the Giants are right about us...

I've been counting on the fact that * would start turning the ball over more after Deflategate... it hasn't turned into more losses yet!
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

It is easier to hold onto a slightly deflated ball and rock-solid balls are more easily punched out (NE had the least amount of fumbles in the seasons immediately preceding Deflategate, and has the most fumbles now).

However, you still have to recover the fumble, and NE is recovering twice as many of their own fumbles as they are losing (9 of their 27 fumbles lost, so 18 of them were recovered by NE).

          4 Games Ben, FOUR GAMES!!!

Take care of the ball and we have a shot.

If BELL remains healthy we don't have to worry about fumbles on our end (outside of a WR or strip sack). That means Ben needs to make good decisions and be on the same page with our young receivers.

6 INTs in the last 4 games, with multiple INTs in 2. BUF?.. ok, weather was definitely a factor so he gets the mulligan in that one.

If conditions were bad enough to cause pics, he shouldn't have been throwing like that. He's from Ohio, he should know that.

He'll be like Favre at the end of his career, hopefully that's 4-5 years away. In the meantime ... take care of the ball! (No throwing into double/triple coverage, know where that linebacker is, don't stare down that receiver ...).

I wish someone could figure out what he's thinking different between those bonehead throws and, for example, the second half of the Ravens game ...

We got our "6-PACK" - time to work on a CASE!

I think he takes his chances. He has an absurd rate of success doing that. But they *are* chances and sometimes they fail.
Take that away, and you take his entire game away. Like Favre.

You're probably right of course. I just wrote that in case Ben checks in here before next week's game!

It's my guess that the game plan starts conservative, then they have to "let Ben be Ben" in order to overcome the game plan.

That seems to be the case more times than not. We won't hoist the Lombardi like that!

I was at that game in Buffalo.
                        Ben played very carelessly.
His first pick was to a LB in the Red Zone. Just a bad decision trying to hit the TE at about 6 yard.

His 2nd Pick was a miscommunication with Brown. I made a joke that Ben thought he was in the Pro Bowl and threw it to the guy in the AFC Pro Bowl Jersey. Gilmore was on the outside. Brown was to the inside and Ben threw it outside right at Gilmore.

His final pick was a nice play by the LB. Not sure if JAMES could have widened out his route away from the coverage but Ben lobbed it expecting an easy TD. Instead the LB retreated and picked it off.
