    Welcome, diamondlucy!

I hope the doc clears him too, but I guess it doesn't look good. If he doesn't practice on Friday, he probably won't play, because that's the usual Steeler way. But this being the playoffs, who knows!

BTW - is your name from that song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds? That's one of my favorite, just wondering!

We got our "6-PACK" - time to work on a CASE!

HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!

Sad thing, I am old enough to remember when the Beatles released that song. But no, Diamond Lucy was the name of my Favorite Black Labrador retriever. And all the time when I was growing up, we made him a Steeler doggie sweater. And I taught him to Bark and jump when the Steelers scored a TD. Sadly, he died like 12 years ago. But that is the back story behind my name sir.

He sounds like he was a great dog, diamondlucy. Great memories.

It may bring you pleasure to know that some of the people on this very board bark and jump whenever the Steelers score a TD!

Here's to a great game on Sunday!

        (Woof!)

And unfortunately, some pee on the rug as well.

          Woof!
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I don't think so sir. Green in San Diego was always having different Injuries, including
concussions I think. I think because of a lack of choices at the time, and because of need, I think the Steelers just rolled the dice.

Green's contract was for 4 years and $20 million, but only $4.75 million was signing bonus (the prorated portion of that would be $1,187,500 per year).

He had a low base salary of $1.25M for 2016, meaning his cap number was $2,437,500 in 2016.

His base salary rises to $5M in 2017, so his cap number next year would be $6,187,500 in 2017.

Base salary drops a little down to $4.5M in 2018 & 2019, so his cap number for those two years would be $5,687,500.

If his concussion issues are indeed career threatening, and we cut him this offseason, we would save $2,625,000 off the cap with $3,562,500 in dead money (and no other future cap impact beyond) with a pre-June 1 designation.

If he's cut with a post-June 1 designation, we would save $5,000,000 off the cap with $1,187,500 in dead money (plus another $2,375,000 in dead money the following year).
