I swear that same picture was in my head when I read your thread title. I was on NFL.com earlier and was going to post that as well as the fact that we're number one in sacks, number one in yards per play, and second in points per game. The yards per play stat (3.9) is the best the league has seen since 1978 (I think that was the year they showed during the broadcast).

This defense is friggin' unbelievable.

Oh yeah, we're also:

First in yards per play and sacks (tied with Philly @ 36).

And second in total points allowed and points per game!

If this holds up, this would be the 1st time in NFL history a defense was #1 across the board I believe...simply amazing!

I guess the fact that the 10-15 yard "Lebeau" cushion raises my blood pressure every time I see it is a personal problem I'm going to need to get used to ... can't argue with success like this!

LOL, it irks me some too. It sometimes leads to 3rd and long conversions. I think it may be one area where the D could improve. Right now, Ike may be the only one who could 'man-up', so maybe Lebeau is just playing to the strengths of his players' talent right now. What an idea! Someone call BA right away.

Not to be a wet blanket, but I guess this is why I'm so in the dumps when I see our O, take the field. We need to put up points and our nasty D will do the rest. I'm praying that come playoffs, we get hot and our offense starts finding their identity.... then we'll really be dangerous.
