    Consistency in offense

Until we get it this team goes nowhere.

It all starts with Ben and Haley.

If Ben is as good as Brady he needs to show it because right now he is looking up at a QB who is BALLING.

Ben's wife prolly needs to give him a hall pass so we can get #7.

    The time is now!!!

I think a lot of problems have to do with our wide receivers, every week we are going with a different rotation and it is really hurting the chemistry. I know Coates has had some drops but he is a tough cover for defenses, put him out there and make defenses matchup, put Rodgers in the slot and let him do what he does best, those two guys out there will occupy safeties and linebackers allowing room for Bell and Brown to operate.

I was saying that same thing. This guy is almost on AB's level, in terms of a guy teams have to prepare for. Teams who decided to double AB, paid dearly by letting Martavis abuse the other side of the field. You had to play AB more honest, because of Martavis. Thinking John Taylor to Jerry Rice.

It made our slider (i.e. AB) that much more unhittable, because we had that nasty fastball (Martavis). With Coates, our fastball is still OK, but now that it isn't nasty, teams can sit on that slider more.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

I hope Martavis is missing football ... and getting help so that, starting next year, he can help the team going forward.

Ya Bryant left a big hole on our offense, but I think Coates can be very effective in a similar role. Coates got behind the Ravens D twice in that game, once Ben over threw him and the other time he dropped the TD. The guy has a knack for getting open deep and while he has been anything but sure handed, the very threat of having him out there regularly will keep defenses honest.

              Completely agree with the OP.

I really don't feel like we're going to beat Dallas with the state we're in but this team needs to start showing some kind of consistency or it's over.

How lucky did the Rats get in reviving their season playing us with a back-from-injury Ben and then the Clowns last night?

and if it was reversed would be able to revive our season due to a rusty WB or would we find a way to crap the bed against the Brown?

Its time for Ben to bring Big Ben back from the dead. No more excuses.

Replacing Wheaton, Bryant and Heath Miller with Coates, Heyward-Bey, and Jesse James has been quite a drop off in talent since last season. In fact labeling our 2016 offense as "explosive" is pretty laughable at this point.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

only real difference IMO is losing Bryant. Heath's presence is missed a little but he wasn't explosive these last few years.

...and honestly, Ben was so bad he could have had all those old weapons and he wouldn't have looked any better. He was off by miles on most throws until the 4th quarter last game.

One orher thing, we lost games to bad teams with Bryant, Heath and AB the last 2 years.

Its not our weapons. IMO it's Ben and Haley... OL probably deserves blame some games as well.

When has Ben been consistent? He always has stinkers, save for when we were total ball control when he was young.

I just expect that he will have those games. But he CAN do what other QBs cannot do and more often then not he is awesome.
                        But consistent? No.
It is who he is Dizz. It aint gonna change.
We just gotta hope we hve enough "good Ben" to make the playoffs and the "bad Ben" doesnt show up again once we get there.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

Ben has been capable of going on a tear, where he lights up the field several games in a row. But it hasn't been happening lately.

Part of it is playcalling. The past two games when he played the OL seemed to not hold up much at all, whereas the previous two games he had plenty of time. When that happens the OC should switch to the short passing quick outs, but Haley simply hasn't adjusted.

Is that Haley or Ben? Ben has had success going deep, and when he does, he sometimes ignores short options.

And about those deep plays, Coates was targeted 5 times and had zero catches. Is that because coaches made bad calls? Dude kept dropping the ball, Ben missed him wide open.
What happens in other games where we tore it up on offense if all those HUGE Ben to Coates connections failed EVERY SINGLE TIME?
Even Ben to AB had problems.

Deebo once said "playas gotta play".

Play call all you want, if open players are being missed and receivers keep dropping the ball, play calling can only do so much.

I was not in love with some of the called runs, but we could have won EASILY if the players were on their game.

I would like to see then open games in No huddle. They might not score on the first drive but at least Ben can get in a rythym early.
