Why the trickery on the onside kick? Never gave the Steelers a chance on a purely sloppy play.
No Hate for Boswell?

I think people are making too big a deal of this. Onside kicks these days seem to have an ever lower probability than I remember (20%). If he hits that kick, I kinda like our chances of recovering the ball.I wasn't hired for my disposition. -

Why hate Boswell? The ST coach told him to do it. It was a hard physical task, and he muffed. Could happen to anyone.

Well, next time Boswell attempts that kind of kick, he will have the element of surprise with him, because I don't think anyone will expect him to ever try it again.

i knew i'd seen that kick before... it may well have been him.
and interestingly enough, after the timeout, i was actually thinking, "wouldn't it be cool if they could do that one kick i saw one time and catch them off-guard..."
for those complaining (not you, raycafan), you don't do that kick unless you've practiced it before. i have ZERO problem with the call - i knew he'd obviously pulled it off before... he just missed. again, it's an onside kick which has a very low success rate.2013 MNF Executive Champion!Comment
