I watched that play a half dozen times and it really doesn't look like much of anything. BR needs to lose some weight or he will be in trouble with his knees and ankles later on.

Surely he hurt his knee in the scrum at the end of the play when he went down. It wasn't on the trip I am guessing. He popped it trying to be a hero at the end of the INT.

Vegas will have a great time on the line for this one. Talk about a team coming up small for one of the biggest games of the season.

Good luck NBC trying to build this one up.

And this is why you don't drop these gimme games. Ben usually stinks after a return.

4-1 is gonna collapse to 4-4.

We could possibly still make it to the playoffs. The rest of the AFCN is in bad shape too. The game against Balt will tell. Next week they'll catch up with us in the standings.

But I don't see a home playoff game on the cards.

His knee popped before he went down because he was grabbing at before the int....right after the throw. Anyway, it's not too serious...could miss the Baltimore game too, but he'll be back after the bye and we're 4-4.

Roethlisberger meniscus surgery is expected to be a cleanup
Posted by Mike Florio on October 17, 2016, 6:32 AM EDT

A torn meniscus can lead to a wide variety of player absences. Vikings running back Adrian Peterson tore his in Week Two, and he may not play again this year. Others have had the same injury, and they’ve returned quickly.

The difference comes from the question of whether the meniscus is “cleaned up” (i.e., trimmed arthroscopically) or whether it’s repaired. The former allows for a shorter recovery. The latter, not.

As to Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, PFT has confirmed that it’s the former, which suggests that he could be back sooner than later.

It’s quickly become a given that Roethlisberger will miss Sunday’s game against the Patriots, but would it shock anyone if Roethlisberger found a way to play? Knocked throughout much of his career for a perception that he exaggerates injuries, Roethlisberger doesn’t nearly get enough credit for finding a way to play when perhaps he shouldn’t (like, for example, the second half of Sunday’s game).

The more likely reality is that he’ll return in Week Nine, after the bye week, against the Ravens. If he misses that one, then the question becomes whether it will be Roethlisberger vs. Tony Romo or Dak Prescott for the rematch of Super Bowls X, XIII, and XXX in Pittsburgh in three weeks and six days.

Until Ben is back, Landry Jones gets the nod, with Zach Mettenberger selfie-sticking his way to the backup job. If the Steelers add another quarterback to the active roster, that may be a bad sign. If they stand pat with only two, no one should be completely shocked if Ben shows up in uniform against the Pats.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

                              I'm done...

not it really but I think I'm done with the idea of winning another SB with Ben at QB. Dude is too fragile. Too many injuries at this point for us to even think he can play a full 16.
