    Shazier Ruled Out for MIA

Missed games now exceed 30% of eligible games to start. Someone needs to create an app so it's easier to keep track of his playing time.

He's fixing to overtake Duce Staley as the poster child for standing on the sideline in sweats.

sad part is he's got 10X the talent of Duce.... it's a shame but I V Williams again gets to show his worth to the Steelers.

No need for an app...people on here are sure to remind us about it every chance they get.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I'll still take 10-12 games of Shazier over 16 games of Williams, especially if Shazier is playing during the play offs. Williams has proven to be a good complementary piece, but that is what he is

But that isn't the real world. You can have Williams for a lot less money than Shazier.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

Why are we arguing this now? 2016 is the third year of his rookie contract. He's already signed for 2017 at a reasonable rate as well, and we can enact the fifth year option for 2018. What is the point of quibbling over what the team may or may not pay this guy in 2019?

It's an MCL sprain, it effects Shazier's greatest asset, his speed. No need to rush him back for the Miami game, we need him healthy for the stretch run.

The Steelers need all hands on deck for NE game. Nothing would make the season better than to wipe the smirk on Pretty Boy's face with a huge loss. The Steelers finally have the talent to make this a game, IF they can all get on the field.

Sammie Coates active despite hand injury

Steelers wide receiver Sammie Coates will play in Sunday’s game at Miami.

Coates had been listed as questionable and has stitches in his hand from an injury suffered in last week’s win over the Jets, when Coates had six catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns.

Per multiple reports, Coates went through a normal warmup more than 90 minutes before kickoff and didn’t appear to be wearing a splint or any special covering on his hand. Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Sunday morning that Coates would play but his hand would be monitored closely by the team’s training staff.

The Steelers had previously announced that five starters — linebacker Ryan Shazier, defensive end Cameron Heyward, wide receiver Markus Wheaton, safety Shamarko Thomas and right tackle Marcus Gilbert — would be out.

With Wheaton out and Coates questionable, the Steelers promoted wide receiver Cobi Hamilton from the practice squad on Saturday.

Report: Arian Foster, Reshad Jones to play on Sunday

There was concern this week that the Dolphins might have to face the Steelers without starting safety Reshad Jones because of a groin injury that kept him from practicing at all on Wednesday and Thursday.

Jones returned for a limited session on Friday and that seems to have pointed him in the right direction to get on the field this weekend. Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL Media reports from Miami that Jones will be in the lineup as the Dolphins try to slow down the Steelers offense.

Kinkhabwala also has positive news on running back Arian Foster. Foster missed the last three games with a hamstring injury, but practiced every day this week and is expected to be in the lineup as well. The Dolphins ran for 113 yards over the last two weeks, losing both games, so Foster’s return will be a welcome one.

The Dolphins also should have left tackle Branden Albert and left guard Laremy Tunsil back in the lineup this week as they try for their second win of the season.
