Great breakdown of his 3-4 D with terminology and responsibilities. It really shows how lacking the D has been compared to year's past as we've just not had the players. That said, you can see why there's reason for optimism because it looks like there's a chance we've got the players again.

When corners are off 10-12 you normally do that so the corners can keep their eyes in the backfield. React to run plays quicker so more often then not 1st down D and used more when in zone.
I'd rather press corners to redirect routes but you need personnel who can play some man. We have not had much if any of that lately. We may see some scheme changes with Burns n Golsen n even Davis in man under and cover 1 or 2 over the top.
