Colbert, " trade back possible.."

Anyone heard any rumours, of who we might be looking to trade back with and who we might be targeting Billings, Joseph

Broncos and Clowns searching for their QBs?

Clowns looking to pick up remaining top WR if any left on board?

Anyone have a scenerio...

The only one I can think of with any real plausibility would be the Broncos at #31...if they are desperate for a QB and a guy like Paxton Lynch falls to us, there are teams in between our pick (#25) and the Broncos who could very well scoop him up (Arizona, to name one)...

Now that I think about it, Ruthless probably mentioned this some time ago...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

If yesterday at 8:30 p.m. can be considered some time ago...

Trade value chart:

1.25 = 720 points

1.31 = 600 points
3.94 = 124 points

600 + 124 = 724.

Just sayin'.

http://www.planetsteelers.com/forums/showthread.php/45502-who-are-we-going-to-draft/page6

For Cleveland to move up:

1.25 = 720 pts.

2.32 = 590 pts.
4.100 = 100 pts.
5.141 = 35.5 pts.

Total = 725.5 pts

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Pittsburgh:
1.25 = 720 pts.
4.123 = 49 pts.
Total = 769 pts.

Arizona:
1.29 = 640 pts.
3.92 = 132 pts.
Total = 772 pts.

If we have 5 guys we like still available when its our turn at #25 (for the sake of argument, let's say that Apple, Jackson, Billings, Butler, and Joseph are all still on the board when we are scheduled to pick)...if we trade down to the Cards' spot at #29, you are still guaranteed to get one of those guys no matter what, and we turn our late 4th round pick into another late 3rd round pick instead.

The Broncos are the team that makes sense in the first as a trade down partner. I could see Dallas or San Fran wanting to move up from the early second - I wouldn't want to go down much farther than that. A 2 and a 3 from Dallas would be the approximate value you are looking for. I'd much prefer Dallas over San Fran because I wouldn't want to be slotted after Baltimore - both teams tend to focus on similar players.

If Billings and William Jackson III are off the board at 1.25, you could probably still grab one of Joseph/Neal/ or a DT in early round 2.

I've said a bazillion times, if Paxton Lynch is still on the board at 1.25 TRADE DOWN.

With that being said- Lynch isn't going to be on the board.

He could go, as high as #8 to Cleveland - but doesn't last longer than #20 to the Jets.

As a highly esteemed poster pointed out, on another board, Denver will likely do all sorts of things to trade up above the Jets to take Lynch, if he gets past 15 or so.

I think if we trade up, it will be a trade up in the second round to get another guy that we were considering in the first round.

Let's say, for instance, that we use the 25th pick on a CB like Apple or WJIII like most of the Pittsburgh writers expect.

Then tomorrow, 10 or so picks go by, and someone like Andrew Billings or Karl Joseph are still available.

Give up our 3rd round pick to go get that guy...essentially ending up with two of our first round targets.

And then use our 4th round pick to address whatever position we didn't get with those first 2 picks.

For instance, CB Eli Apple in round 1, trade up for S Karl Joseph in round 2, then DL Jihad Ward in round 4.

Or, possibly, CB William Jackson III in round 1, trade up for DL Andrew Billings in round 2, then S DeAndre Houston-Carson in round 4.

I was thinking the same... trade back then trade back up.

According to the trade chart, to get to 1.25, New England would have to give up 2.60, 2.61, and 3.91. Belichick isn't trading two 2's and a 3 to get back into round 1.
