Anybody interested in a draft challenge?

i ran one last year or the year before(or both).
    the rules went something like

name 5 players for each round that you think the steelers may draft
points were awarded for getting the correct player in the correct round
points for correct player but in a different round

maybe points for guessing what position will be drafted for each round?
maybe points for predicting trading up or down and in the correct round?

if you guys are interested and have any ideas for scoring, chime in

Sure, I'll play. Five guys from each round, eh? Since we won't be choosing anyone for round 5, because the Steelers have no pick there, should we give 10 names for round 7 since we have 2 picks there? I'm guessing that if we do that, with that longer list, we should also be able to nail down some of the UDFA possibilities among the guys we don't end up taking in round 7. Also, can we include the same guys in multiple rounds? For instance, someone the team might be tempted to reach for a little bit in round 2, but would almost definitely take if he fell all the way down to our pick in round 3...could we include that guy among our 5 picks for round 2 and also among our 5 picks for round 3? Or am I just overcomplicating this (probably)?

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

      im game for about anything.
same player in multiple rounds, sure
10 for round 7, why not.
maybe a list of 5 names for UDFA
round 7 should have 2 position picks also then

we just need a scoring system

Okay, how about we choose one position for each round of the draft (don't pick anything for the 5th round since we have no picks there, but choose 2 positions for round 7 since we have 2 picks there). How about, to minimize confusion, we just go with DL (instead of DT and DE, since DT in most systems are classified as DE in ours) and OL (since many guys who played OT in college will be OG in the pros), and don't differentiate between SS/FS and OLB/ILB...just S and LB. This should eliminate most debate (except for guys like S'ua Cravens who may be a LB or a S), but we can't do anything about that. If you nail the position that we chose with that pick, you get 2 points.

        For instance:
        1.25 DL
        2.58 S
        3.89 CB
        4.123 LB
        6.220 OL
        7.229 WR
        7.246 CB

We also list five players for each round as well (they do not need to match the position for that round you chose above)....3 points if you nail the player to the pick exactly. 1 point if we end up taking a player you listed but with a different pick than you suggested.

        For instance:
        1.25:
        CB Mackenzie Alexander
        CB Eli Apple
        DL Andrew Billings
        CB William Jackson III
        DL Jarran Reed

        2.58
        S Vonn Bell
        CB Kendall Fuller
        DL Austin Johnson
        S Karl Joseph
        S Keanu Neal

        3.89
        S Jeremy Cash
        DL Javon Hargrave
        CB Cyrus Jones
        WR Charone Peake
        S Darian Thompson

        4.123
        S DeAndre Houston-Carson
        CB Harlan Miller
        LB Yannick Ngakoue
        LB Jaylon Smith
        DL Jihad Ward

        6.220
        S Deon Bush
        S Jayron Kearse
        OL Rees Odhiambo
        OL Brandon Shell
        CB Tavon Young

        7.229
        WR Moritz Boehringer
        CB Ken Crawley
        S Demontrae Elston
        RB Tre Madden
        QB Nate Sudfeld

        7.246
        QB Jeff Driskel
        CB Deandre Elliott
        DL Quinton Jefferson
        TE David Morgan
        CB Brandon Williams

          awesome.
the only thing i would change is the scoring.
2 points for player in different round
1 point for correct position in each round(it should be harder to guess the player than a position)

Your scoring suggestion sounds good to me. I hereby submit the positions and players I listed as examples above.

Can we pick players as the draft goes? in other words- pick round 1 before Thursday evening, and then rounds 2-3 for Fri. evening, etc.?

Also, what happens if you pick a player for a round and they end up going in a diff. round? any points?

Submit them all before the draft starts on Thursday night.

Three points for correct player in correct round.
Two points for correct player in a different round.
One point for a correct position in a correct round.

Is it just me that smells, or does it seem like no one else likes to play these games with the three of us?
