Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus. -
agreed... I was kinda disappointed with how well he played this year... in my mental mid-season mock had him as a 3rd-5th rounder to the Steelers as a backup DE. Dang boy wouldn't stop getting better - LOL2013 MNF Executive Champion!Comment

If either of those two are good enough to play more than 40% of the snaps, then they may very well be the pick if available...Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.Comment

you STILL sound like you're saying, "more snaps at a lesser quality is better"... lesser player on the 50 snaps he plays, but, capable of subbing for 5 additional snaps when a DE gets tired is NOT a better pick, IMO. Tell me you're not saying it is...2013 MNF Executive Champion!Comment

I'm saying pick a player who is good enough to be on the field more than 40% of the snaps with your first round pick...Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.Comment

On our team in the first round, I think you take BPA (except QB - and probably RB).
Football players get hurt a lot and have short careers. In a year or two when your 1st pick is in their prime, the "needs" will look different than they do now.
If the team had two guys graded as approximately equal, then I would make the choice based on project snap count (i.e. need / importance).Comment
