I wouldn't mind seeing the Steelers snatch up Nick Foles as a backup should the Rams try to get rid of him. Probably out of our price range but I've always thought that he could be a poor man's version of Ben.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

Probably but he's 6'6 243lbs and he had a really good 2013 season when he threw for 27tds and 2ints. Probably a one trick pony but as a backup I think he has a solid future.

Well, if the Steelers really want him, they might be able to get him for a low-round draft pick, since the Lambs will be looking to pick up some draft picks...

It depends on the deal that the Rams can get...they signed Case Keenum to a 1st round tender...Gary Kubiak coached Keenum in Houston and supposedly likes him...the Lambs might get rid of Keenum to the Donkos and keep Foles as the seat warmer for the #1 pick...

Landry Jones is our back up. They aren't trading away a draft pick for one

Nick Foles looks exactly like Napoleon Dynamite. Maybe he spent the offseason training with Uncle Rico and can now throw a football over them mountains.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Goff is likely more pro ready right away, coming from the Cal Bears of the Pac-12 Conference rather than the North Dakota State Bison of the Missouri Valley Conference. But I think that Wentz could have Pro Bowl potential in a few years, while Goff might top out as a top 12-15 QB in the league (i.e. solid, but not worth was L.A. just paid to move up).

It's all a crap shoot. Example- What did you think of RG3 and Cousins when they were picked by the Redskins? I said from the beginning that Redskins were gonna have Cousins as their everyday QB and RG3 as a wasted pick..... And my neighbor who loves the Skins heard me tell him that too,so I have proof. Yeah, he laughed at the time. lol I told him, RG3 would be a better fit at WR.

Wentz may actually be more NFL ready, from what I've read. While his level of competition was not the same as the Pac 12, Wentz ran a more pro style offense than Goff did...

Everyone assumes that the Rams are going to take Goff and the Eagles get Wentz, but what would you do?

To me, I see Wentz as a guy coming into the league with Joe Flacco like abilities now, who might have a Ben Roethlisberger like ceiling in an ideal situation.

What did Flacco and Roethlisberger both have when they came into the league? Strong defense and strong running game. A big arm that could take advantage of teams biting on play action. The Rams have a strong defense and a strong running game, and I see Wentz as a guy who can flourish in that setting.

On the other hand, I see Goff coming into the league with Sam Bradford like abilities now, who might have a Matt Ryan like ceiling in an ideal situation.

The Rams apparently see Goff differently, since to make the trade for him, they'd have to see him coming into the league with Andy Dalton like abilities now, who might have a Tom Brady like ceiling in an ideal situation.

I see Goff as more of a West Coast type guy, which would seem to fit more of what Philly typically looks for in it's quarterbacks. But maybe I'm seeing this all backward.
