Report: James Harrison definitely playing in 2016

Steelers outside linebacker James Harrison will be back for another season, Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Tuesday.

Bouchette wrote that although Harrison has made nothing official, “he’s coming back and everything he’s said points to that.” Earlier Tuesday, Harrison responded to a tweet about whether or not he planned to play from Steelers teammate Ramon Foster by writing, “I can’t say for sure but it’s looking good for the home team!”

Harrison’s agent, Bill Parise, told Bouchette that “nothing has changed” and “it’s a long way until August.”

A five-time Pro Bowler and the 2008 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Harrison turns 38 in May. He had previously said he needed to see how his body responded to his offseason training program, and though Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert has said he expects Harrison to be back, the team’s stance has been there’s no rush for a final answer.

Harrison is under contract for 2016 at $1.5 million.
    There ya have it....

Nice insurance to at least get some pass rush from the right OLB position

It does appear to me that you were trying to defend Calvin Klein's toilet spray....

They generally charge more than $70 for a small bottle, so perhaps it is worthy of defending?

It doesn't. I'll wait to hear it from James himself. No one speaks for James.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Nobody on this forum as been more pro Harrison then me. I KNEW he had more left in the tank and argued at length we needed to sign him.
But I don't buy this act at all.
I have NEVER felt he truly considered retiring. I felt that way last season too when he "wasn't sure" if he wanted to play while posting videos of his beastly workouts to impress.
Mark my words, Harrison will play as long as we will have him.
I just see it as creating drama.

If we don't give him another deal after this one "he" will decide he never wanted to play anyway.

If by some miracle (highly unlikely) we want to give him another year, he would talk about not being sure he wanted to play and be right back next season too.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Deebo tweeted after the NFL schedule was released that retirement looks better than ever when you realize that you have to work on Thanksgiving...
