I would love to see us sign this kid. STRONG as an OX and a former all-american wrestler. 3 year starter at Michigan. A true zero technique nose tackle. What he lacks in size he makes up for with fantastic technique. Chris Hoke 2.0!!!

I'd be down for signing him if he could be even close to Hoke was. However...would he be another Harris signing where it's just depth now on the defensive line? I would hope not. However, other teams have interest in him too.2022 NFL Mock Draft

I knew I knew the name, but you had me looking at draft prospects (draft on my mind)... I then realized he came out a couple years ago... funny how the years blend together.

Martin and Wisniewski are the types of guys I like to see us going for. Certainly, we don't want big names. But we want guys in that part of their career, who are still looking to earn another good contract. In other words, you want guys with hunger (i.e. anti-Woodleys). I'd be happy to see us pick up Martin (and Wis).I wasn't hired for my disposition.Comment

These are the types of players you need on the roster. Capable starters brought in to push & provide depth. I would be happy with both Martin & Wisniewski.Comment

 Eagles sign Mike Martin
Posted by Josh Alper on April 26, 2016, 11:06 AM EDT

The Eagles have added another defensive lineman to the roster ahead of this week’s draft.

The team announced Tuesday that they have signed defensive tackle Mike Martin to a one-year deal. Martin visited with the Eagles on Monday.

Martin was a third-round pick by the Titans in 2012 and he spent the last four seasons in Tennessee. He was a regular in the lineup during his first three seasons with the team, playing in 41 games, although he started just five times over that span. He played five games for the Titans last season and ended the season on injured reserve with a knee injury.

Should Martin stick on the roster into the regular season, he’ll almost certainly be in a reserve role again with Fletcher Cox and Bennie Logan holding down the starting jobs on the interior of the Eagles line.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.Comment
