Thankfully. Vince is better vs. the run, but not as good in coverage as Spence was. They'll need to find a replacement for Spence, IMO.

He would and he was...but he'll likely want more $$$$$ than the Steelers will want to pony up for a 34-year old backup ILB.

Unknown--yet to be determined. Added Ladarius Green and Ryan Harris, and lost Spence, McLendon and Beachum. Depending on playing time, etc., Steelers might net a late round pick. But they may also still sign (or lose) another FA or two.

Any back up lb's not named James have to contribute on special teams so a vet is nice to pick up but guys like Chadman listed may be more attractive.
Ruthless asks some great questions and the Smith LB question is an example.Medical is going to decide if he is even on our board. Would have no issue rolling the dice in the 4th. And Ruthless changing that draft to Apple Johnson Ward and Shell I give him a thumbs up for making those changes. I'd sign up for that in a nano second.

After his release, Dansby tweeted, "Time to go get a ring." Who knows?
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Chadman likes Spence. Good luck to him. Never, ever heard a bad thing about him. And he seemed pretty effective on the field. That knee injury took away some of the dynamic ability he had in college. He was a genuine playmaker in college.

Is Zumwaldt even on the team? I always like him, but thought he got an injury settlement.

I read a recent article (since end of season) talking about how Tomlin sees Zumwalt in the training room and now half-playfully refers to him as "Money Pit" because of all the time and money the team has invested in a guy who hasn't even made the team yet. (This is going to be Zumwalt's third year.) It tells me a couple things: 1) That he's still around 2) that the team thinks enough of him to keep around, a 6th round pick who can't stay healthy.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.
