    trade back possibilities?

With Denver's QB problems, could a team be willing to trade up ahead of Denver to take one of the remaining top rated qbs (lynch, cook)

I got this idea after hearing that the Steelers were in talks with OSU Dekker and articles of AVs age, Beachum visiting Jets, and Adams future.

    Rams? SF? Bears?

Trade talk is always interesting. Regarding AV he is only 27 so his age isn't an issue what is an issue is lack of depth at tackle.
Okay so moving back in round 1. It's not likely but could happen. I believe we would only move back a few spots if say 2 or more quality corners were rated close and moving back say 2 or 3 spots would all but assure one to still be there it could happen. Arizona at 29 could be that partner if a pass rusher was there for them and we felt we could land a quality corner while getting an extra 4 & 5 for example.

At this point, I don't know that I'm interested in extra picks. As close as the Steelers are, I might be inclined to go for quality over quantity....
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Assuming there's a slam dunk (as slam dunk as can be in the draft) at 25.
Other than that i'd consider dropping back for a late round this year and a 3rd round next year.

As fans it is easy to sit here and say things like "if 2 or 3 of these guys are still available we can move back and still get one of them", but history suggests that the FO does not think that way. They always seem to lock in on the guy they want and don't risk losing him by trading back.

I believe that they only trade back if all the guys who they believe are worthy of the 25th pick are already gone.

The stars have to line up just right for that trade back scenario. Doesn't happen much so I would believe that is more why it's not done. I recall Colbert talking about exactly that and not looking to move back if the quality of the player was going to drop off more then a marginal amount. Look if we have a guy rated top 12-15 and he falls that will be the guy and it should be.

Although I think we should sit there at 25 and take the best CB. I am starting to think, AV is going to be RFA in 2017, are we going to be able finacially able to keep $$$ in our OL. And with no Ben, there is no way we can make it to the superbowl. So maybe a trade back might be in order to get us our 1) LT of the future and swing Tackle in 2016, and 2) a S, DL, OLB, we want who would not be there at our pick in round 2.

              imagine something like this:
              Dekker/Spriggs
              K. Joseph/ Thompson
              j.smith/Ngakoue/ Calhoune

although lacking a CB, I think we can add Golston in this year's rookie class... but you get the idea.
