Better than getting a DB at 25. Just don't know if he would still be there.
Is Andrew Billing better than Steve Mclendon??
I saw some videos of Billing and he is not that impressive. Again i am not a draft guru but he was not that disruptive especially against Oklahoma and Kansas.
Steelers Draft 2015
Rd 1: Devante Parker - WR/ Kevin Johnson - CB
Rd 2: Danielle Hunter -OLB
Rd 3: Steven Nelson - CB
Rd 4: Derron Smith - S
Rd 5: Henry Anderson - DE
Rd 6: Wes Saxton - TE
Rd 7: Deon Simon - DT
I'd be quite happy with Billings or Jarran Reed at #25. If I had to make a Christmas wish, though, it would be for Vernon Hargreaves III...a bona fide top 10 prospect at CB who might fall a bit because of pedestrian Combine numbers while other potential first round corners put up significantly better numbers at the underwear Olympics. Do I think he actually falls all the way to #25...no way...but as you said, strange things happen from time to time (I never thought there was any realistic chance that DeCastro would actually fall to us at #24 a few years ago, and then it happened).
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
Billings is a talent and I'm not sure he makes it to 25.
Things I like: He plays with a low pad level.
Quick off the snap and can penetrate.
Seems to have a good motor. (Check him run down the rb after the back catches a check down pass in the Kansas game)
Things I don't like:
Plays a little to chest to chest. That won't work well against 330 lbs NFL linemen who also know how to hold.
He is mostly a "0" so I do not see him being a great fit in our scheme. We run base 3-4 only 30% of the time. That said he is a player who should be a very solid pro.
Wow some of you guys just pee'd in my Cheerios! Thought Billings was a man among boys as some were talking him up at the combine. But I only watch clips posted here. And the tape tells the truth. Going to need a special player IMO to be that player needed in sub packages to put more heat on the QB and give a rest at times to the starting stud DE's.
we should have our choice of good DLs in the first if one of the top cbs or olbs doesnt fall to us
i think we could trade down a dozen spots or so and still get a good DL
steelers = 3 ring circus with tomlin being the head clown

If he was a ngata or dontari Poe, he would not last to the 20s. Those guys come off the blared quickly
In round 2...absolutely. But there will be better values than him at #25, methinks.
