Personally, if the defense gets even marginally better, which you would expect based on how they were playing at the end of the year, the Steelers are going to be strong favorites next year. The Broncos will be good, but will have growing pains with Osweiler, the Patriots will be good, but Brady is getting on in years and could begin to slip at any moment (2 years ago, Peyton had the season of a lifetime and look now), so the Steeler offense with a defense on the rise and creating havoc with turnovers should put the Steelers in a good position for next year.

The Bengals and Ravens will, in all likelihood, be the biggest obstacles to the playoffs and hopefully a Super Bowl visit.

That was really bad. It's going to be awfully hard for him to ask his teammates to make sacrifices after that.

I don't quite understand how in that moment he had time to process diving into that pile and risking injury or not, but it certainly was obvious that that is exactly what happened. A recovery there gives the Panthers one more shot at winning the game; the Broncos were not making a 1st down to ice the game, they would have had to punt one more time. That was a mind blowing bad decision by Cam, the effects, if any, will be interesting to see next year.

Next year's season can't get here soon enough, I'm amped, the Steelers should have a real good chance at adding to their Lombardi haul for the next few years.

If it had been Peyton who hesitated before diving into the pile and the Broncos ended up losing, no one would have second guessed him...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

in a SB I think every QB would be scrutinized...

but it wouldn't be used as an example of why the QB would have a bad career or lose his team.

Really? People have made fun of Manning for years for the way he ducks contact.

Did anyone else think Cam's performance reminded them of Ben's first Super Bowl? Cam was certainly off his mark for the game just like Ben was in that game.

P.S. Who would have thought that Manning would have assumed the Trent Dilfer role in a Super Bowl? He was horrible.
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

                but Go Steelers!!!

Just as a "in all fairness" statement, when Manning had the ball stripped and caused a fumble he did make an attempt to get the football, but was blocked by a guy that had to weigh 350 pounds, they even showed the replay of the block, so in that instance Manning did try to retrieve his fumble, even against the odds of him recovering the fumble.

let's not throw facts in here when there is a perfectly good race card on the table.

they even tried to throw in a trick pass with Ted Ginn.

Honestly, Cam's performance was better than Ben's. Cotchery dropped 3 or 4 passes and Ginn short armed a pass.

Shula didn't help Cam and company at all with the play calling. No screens, RB's in the flat, didn't move the pocket, etc...

The Panther Oline got manhandled. The play calling was terrible.
My one dig against Cam was that he chose this game, of all games on their schedule, to lose heart towards the end.

                          Nah

We had drops too. Hines had a TD pass go off his hands. El had another in the beginning of the game etc

Ben also had a rushing td. And a key 1st down run late in the 4th qr to keep the chains moving
