Are injuries determining the post season more than usual this year?

Besides us: The **'s OL was trashed going into today's game ... Palmer had some kind of hand injury, and couldn't throw right. That's 3 teams from the divisional finals.

We feel that with Bell, Brown, and Ben at full strength we could have come home with another Lombardi. I'm sure those other teams feel the same. And Bronks are going in with a QB who has a crippled wing.

What do you guys think - are injuries playing a bigger role this year?

I don't know, but I would think it should make the "geniuses" that run the NFL think mighty hard before adding a couple more games to the regular season.

Injuries have been part of the game. What has changed are team's approach to dealing with them. Gone are the days of sending a guy back out of the field after a concussing hit or shooting a guy's knee up to numb the pain so he can stay in the game.

We've never beaten Brady in the playoffs... same reason over and over... 8 yard cushion, 2 yard pass, 5 yard gain.

The first time was in 2001, and we were down 7-3 in the second quarter when Brady was injured. Drew Bledsoe has to finish the game that New England eventually won 24-17. The main reason that we lost was that Kordell threw 3 interceptions, not because our defense couldn't figure Brady out (Brady's stats for the game before being injured were 12-18 for 115 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT).

The second time was in 2004 during Ben's rookie season, 41-27. The main reason that we lost was that Ben threw 3 interceptions, not because our defense couldn't figure Brady out (Brady's stats for the game were 14-21 for 207 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT).
