There's a level of conservative that happens up 8 points with 1:30 left that doesn't happen up 2 points with 1:30 left (i.e., meh, worst case overtime vs you need first downs or you could LOSE).

to assume all the other plays and strategies remain unchanged is just unrealistic.

Clearly, you didn't watch the game. The exact scenario that I described was the exact scenario that occurred in the Pats**@Broncos game yesterday. It was the exact scenario that prompted this thread. That is what the rest of us are discussing.
