Emmanuel Sanders knocked the ball down, Gay didn't drop a gift, it never made it to his hands.

We lost the game because our 3rd string RB fumbled.
Im not happy, but i had no expectations going in.
Our defense was put in horrible position all night and they held then to FGs.
agreed. the defense played well except for the easy int drops by gay
the others listed choked away a chance to win by not making simple plays

all chokes, but who cares, they tried hard
We did make a bunch of mistakes. To also post we dominated just is not correct. We took shots and that 4th n 20 if it was the pass Wheaton had hit his shoulder pad at the goal line was on Wheaton.
This loss hurts but we are close imho, real close.

Actually if he was a Cleveland fan he would be conditioned with accepting failure. I'm with him. You don't get these opportunities in life and it was ours for the taking despite our injuries or excuses. Máke the most of the moment and the Steelers did not.

Well, they talking on the radio right now about why half the fans feel one way and the other half feels another way.

Yes, it was a decent season and the future looks good going forward, but on the other hand, we have this franchise QB who has perhaps a 4-5 year window at this point, and if we're going to win any more SB's with this QB the time is NOW.

And let's face it, the team really hasn't had too many opportunities in the playoffs for like 4-5 years now. So, people are frustrated with that. Someone called in and said he's pi$$ed that some fans just feel like settling. Don't kill the messenger, I'm just saying what I'm hearing, but like Tomlin says- the standard is the standard... settling is becoming the standard??

Hopefully, we can kick this injury bug in 2016 and go all the way. People are expecting it.

We have been underachieving with Ben for a while now. We are blessed with him and it's true, his days are numbered. We have not struck while the iron has been hot.

Gotta agree with squid a bit. This was a winnable game.

We're all talking from the perspective of a group of people who expected the game to be an easy loss, and are happy it was close.
Truth is, they played well enough to win handily. We got bitten by our season-long inability to close a drive. And Ben taking sacks in close situations -- a habit he's developed over the past few years.

That said, it was a good game. I'd have been happier with a positive outcome. I'd have liked a chance to beat NE in NE. Right now, NE is going to win the SB.

Listen, I agree that they choked but tbh they were lucky to even be in this game. The secondary is bottom 3rd in the league. The only reason we got in, and then won last week, is because we faced a slew of backup QBs. The only reason we were in this game was because of a washed up Peyton. If we had somehow won this week next week would have been very ugly next week as NE would have destroyed us and will destroy Denver. Poor Peyton can't even pass 20 yards down the field. With their talent any real QB would have passed all over our defensive backs. Heath Miller is washed up. Great player for many years but he's done. They need to cut him. James is the better option going forward and would save a bunch of money. Gilbert and our D lineman got worked all game. Wheaton won't be back and we'll come out ahead with Coates taking his place. You can't be mad at this season. No team with our lack of talent in the secondary could survive so many injuries. Despite everything (including awful officiating) we almost had this game. That is more due to Denver being bad than us being good though. I can't wait for the combine and draft. We should have one of the best teams next season. Any appreciable improvement of talent in our secondary and they might actually be SB favorites

Wait.... Wheaton, Heath, Gilbert etc were terrible, the Steelers only got in because we played back-up QB's & the Broncos are bad...yet we add some secondary talent & we become SB favorites??
