These are the better days when you have a qb like Ben. Do you think many other coaches would miss as many playoffs with a qb like Ben ? I never doubted they wouldn't win last night. I see the quality we have despite the injuries. I also wouldn't have been surprised if we would have beaten the Cheats next week. Yea, and I'm the bad fan.
You might have had me, but then you lost me...

    Just like Browns fans? Uh-huh...

Miss the playoffs "so many times"? Like, three times (out of nine)? Okay...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

See the thing is,Steeler football is a form of entertainment to me,sure it's better when they win,but you know what?my life goes on win or lose. I enjoy talking about the games with my dad and sons, and some of you here. Still,no matter I have to go to work, pay the bills and all the life things. As far as you and your success, good for you,but nobody cares.I come on this board to talk football. I don't care how much money you have, what you do for a living, what color you are,how you vote or any of that. To tell you the truth, when you said that,it made you come across as a real dick.
Hissy fits no.. I'm tired of seeing a good to great team underachieve. If your happy with second best fine.. I've always felt the Browns fans were too good of fans. Stop filling up the Browns stadium after so many dismal seasons and maybe the owners would take notice and actually put a well enough product together. I just dont see a feel good story in losing. Ask any player or coach on that team if they feel good about losing or if there is a silver lining to this season. They will tell you " No. " Just last week in a Tomlin interview he said the same... There is no comfort in doing what wasn't expected. He's only happy to win the Super Bowl. He said it wont be a success if they don't win the Super Bowl. I'm not always happy with Tomlin and some of his play calls or how he does things or his slow starts but, I do like his attitude. I get we had injuries and they did good filling in the gaps. I still believe we were good enough and should have won this game and others. Losing to the Ravens twice, losing to crummy teams that should have raised our value or status for home field advantage possibly. Oh well, there is always next season and maybe we will win the opener and not have this loss carry over.

Unfortunately, for those who are not happy unless the team wins the Super Bowl, they are doomed to be unhappy most of the time. The upcoming Super Bowl will be the 50th and the most won by any single franchise is six. A great many things including luck have to fall in place to even get to the SB, let alone win it. A very few things going wrong can ruin a season. So if your standard is "Super Bowl or failure", you might want to tone down the bashing and venom when your standard isn't met. It's not realistic.

          Fezziwig,

Some of the best winners were losers once.

I don't even know if that's a real quote, just seems fitting given the conversation. You learn from losing. The Steelers can't be 1st place every year. Its hard. But to say you are tired of seeing a good to great team underachieve, that is fine, you can have that opinion. But don't rag on other people. What can you possibly do to change the fact that you are tired of seeing a good to great team underachieve? I'll tell you....NOTHING? Well one thing, root for the team that is projected to be the Super Bowl champs every year...and even that is no guarantee. Just enjoy the run...they'll do their best to improve upon what I think was an OVER-achieving year given the hardships they went through.

I'm proud to be Steelers fan after what I saw yesterday. The guys played hard and left it on the field. Because I live in Bengal-land, I know what a terrible fan base and jackass attitude look like and I'm happy to report that the Steelers comported themselves with class. I'm just hopeful that Deebo can be around next year, if only in a limited capacity.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Great effort Steelers!!!....I also thought they did great considering the injuries...
That pass for a possible TD should have been called for pass interference and, we should have had the ball 1st and goal on the one yard line.
The defender never looked back and got there early.....
