I heard mention of Demaryius Thomas' mom seeing her son play his first football game live ever. Apparently she's been in prison since he was a kid for running a drug ring with his grandma.
I might think this is a nice story and all if he wasn't playing against us today. It's a reminder of how tough some of these NFL players must have had it growing up. But I don't like the idea of Demaryius having some extra incentive to go off in this game. He's already a beast that's going to be tough to cover/tackle.
Why, oh why Barack Obama, did you have to commute his mom's sentence now? Why not a year ago? Or a year later?
Is there some conspiracy that our own president hates the Steelers? Lord do I hope Blake isn't the one that has to tackle DT today. Or we could be in for a long day. I have visions of this guy try to outdo his TD reception from Tim Tebow a few years back that was a heart breaker for us.
