    Porter to be Fined

Sorry if this was posted already, but network reporting Porter will be fined for being on the field at the end of the game. AND, it should have been a penalty according to league rules.

So there were 2 penalties not called on the Steelers last night that could have affected the outcome. I am sure the Bengals will be pleading their case in the media.

By the same token there where tons of bengals players coming off the sidelines, some still in jackets, all night long and they didn't get flagged.

Why was Porter on the field in the first place ? He had his role as a player and it's over. Be a coach Porter and stay on the sidelines

Yup. Burfict was out on the field at least twice when the Bengals offense had the ball...and I doubt he was subbing in...

Brown's position coach, Richard Mann, is almost 70 years old...it makes sense for the much younger Joey Porter to walk out onto the field in that situation..
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

He was on the field after the cheap shot on AB, I don't blame him, the entire Steelers sideline should have retaliated after that hit.

League rule: assistants coaches or others (other than medical) are not allowed on the field at any time. They did call a penalty on one Bengal who still had a cape on and wondered onto the field at the end of a play.

They are also wondering why DD wasn't penalized for driving Burfict into the ground near the goal line during the drive that ended with a TD. I personally think they were both engaging in extracurricular stuff.

The Bengal who wandered onto the field was Domata Peko...he was called for the penalty because he came off the sidelines specifically to push Fitz Toussaint, who was on the field for the Steelers...

I thought I heard last night or maybe this morning that the reason Porter was actually allowed on the field was because of the severity of the injury and that make no judgments about who is there checking on the player. Now, once on the field he needs to mind his Ps and Qs which IMO he did, he may have said some things, but he didn't' physically accost anyone at least from what I saw and I still haven't seen what Pacman actually did that drew the penalty.

There is a good video clip on depot. And porter was talking to a ref when Gilberry bungals DE walks right into porter in a tough guy way IMO! Porter the. Must have said something to him and paceman started flipping out then with the ref right there that porter was talking to. And were was a flag for burphead running out the tunnel with other teammates after the interception? That has to be excessive celebration correct?

Then why do you see coaches on the field attending/ conversing with drs. when someone is seriously hurt? No flags on that, and I don't see any problem with Porter being out there. He looked diplomatic and restrained while he was out there.

Porter should be touted as a hero in Pittsburgh.

Porter came on the field during an injury timeout. A Steeler player was laid out cold and could have been in serious trouble. I've seen players and coaches come off the bench in those situations, to pray or otherwise show their support and concern. If there's a rule about it, I've never seen it enforced when there's an injury as bad as Brown's appeared to be. I didn't see Porter fighting or shoving anyone; it was the Bengals who were getting physical during all the milling around while AB was being treated. Things seemed to flare up after AB got to his feet. If they fine Porter it's a chicken-crap appeasement gesture.

Any number of penalties, excessive celebration, delay of game (didn't they take the ball into the tunnel with them?), high levels of d-baggery, and general complete idiocy that just made then look like buffoons at the end of the game.
I want to see that vid of them running out of the tunnel!!

By the way, DD did not drive Burfict into the ground. He did push Burfict about eight yards downfield, at which point Burfict got frustrated, grabbed DD and dragged them both to the ground. Of course, we could be talking about different plays.

The officials were so overwhelmed in this game. I am sure missed calls on each team and made some wrong or bad calls. Not sure how to fix that as the NFL knew how this game would go after the last one!
