It Cost Them.. But Steelers did the Right Thing

Checked in on LaMarr Woodley's stats since leaving PIT. Simply amazing how he has fallen from the ranks of the very good football players so quickly. While it was painful for the Steelers cap, the org made the right call. Missing 6 games in 2011 was the beginning of the end for him:

    since leaving PIT:

    12 games started
    1 sack
    12 tackles

no way you can blame the organization for that one
woodley mailed it in after the big payday.
he could have been one of the all time greats but chose to be a lazy fat ass
he does do great things for the community and never gets in trouble with the law
its just a sad waste of talent, oh well..
steelers = 3 ring circus with tomlin being the head clown

I agree. When a guy is that good, you fully expect him to work to maintain it...

I'm glad Jason Worilds decided against signing a big deal before dropping out of pro football...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

I don't quite agree that Woodley mailed it in after the big contract. He was actually having a good year in 2011. When he tore his hamstring against NE he already had sacked Brady twice ( we won that game) and was coming in unobstructed for what looked a sure third sack when he went down like he'd been shot. It must have been a bad tear because, IIRC, he missed the rest of the regular season. He did try to play against Denver in the playoff game but left early in Q1 and did not return.

I don't know what his problem was after 2011, just saying that he was playing well in 2011 until the injury.
