Best possible situation going into Week 17

I know he is athletic, but does Cravens have Troy P like speed to be a difference maker? I'm cool if he can be a Kam Chancellor type player.

What do we need more, a Safety or a Cornerback? IMO we need the latter.

The Steelers need both, if they take a CB or safety in the 1st round it's a good day for SteelerNation.

I'm just going to enjoy the last game of the season. No way the bills beat the jets but then again I said that last week for the raisins

I can only speculate the emotional drain of 'must wins' for the last several weeks finally took its toll on the team and especially Roethlisberger. As others have pointed out, the no-margin-for-errors offense demanded by the poor defense was bound to burn the team at some point. Last week, the defense saved Roethlisberger from Roethlisberger. But anyone watching this team this season knows it is not something that could be relied upon.
What is surprising is the lack of visible progress by the defense as the season progressed, which was hallmark of LeBeau's defenses. They may have started a season off slow but always seemed to catch their stride by season's end. We've seen nothing of the sort from this defense this season. I can only hope it is just a symptom of an inexperienced DC, and a very young defense.

We had injuries galore this season and our D is still young and the DC is in his first year...

All that being said, all we needed to do was protect the ball and make a few stops on D and we did neither. I will never under estimate a division rival playing spoiler and I hope the Stelers didnt over look the Ravens.

Yep...will enjoy the game and if it is the last one start getting ready to talk the draft. If we get more games then I'll enjoy them. No crying about something I can't control.

bleh. 4 ridiculous losses when we only needed one to be a win put us in the absurd position of hoping journeyman ryan fitzpatrick decides to have a bad game and rex ryan tries to bluster his way to a win.

sure, i hope we make it and play the bungles next week. truth is, it's layed out pretty good if we do. dalton will back back after 4 weeks, rusty and with the demons of never winning a playoff game. then we get to try our hand against brady and see if our defense can keep him from a perfect rating. if so, we probably head to denver or KC - and that seems doable.

but once again. bills v. jets.

what a crappy way to end the season if that's what transpires.

If they don't make it into the playoffs this will be one of the more disappointing seasons for me. They had everything g I their control and lost 2 or 3 games that were bad losses with last week being the worst.

This week an anonymous Bills player ripped Mario Williams,saying he "checked out" a long time ago.He said Williams complained about the system and wasn't man enough to take responsibility that he sucked. I'm like others here,I'll enjoy watching the Steeler game,knowing it's a good chance the last one of the season.
